Gas may be pretty cheap right now, but the last thing anyone needs is an excuse to hit the pumps more. For owners of more than 218,000 model-year 2016-18 Volkswagen Jetta sedans, a new recall has been issued to fix a potential fuel leak.

According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the affected Jettas have fuel rail bolts that may become loose over time, allowing fuel to leak. A fuel leak isn’t just problematic for your pocketbook, either; it also increases the risk of a fire.

At least for now, the German automaker is still working on a repair and doesn’t have a solution for owners yet. The recall is, however, expected to begin Dec. 20. If you have further questions, you can call VW at 800-893-5298, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s vehicle-safety hotline at 888-327-4236 or visit its website to check their vehicle identification number and learn more.
