The end result? The new Tacoma is more expensive — duh — though not by much. Most trims of the truck see a $200 increase, with Limited and TRD Pro variants costing roughly $1,000 more apiece. And that manual transmission? Well, if you like the control of rowing your own gears, it’s a nice-to-have feature, though it will prevent you from getting many of the more premium options in your Tacoma. Some might find that worth it, but, as we mentioned before, good luck finding one. A recent check of Cars.com listings found fewer than 1,000 manual-equipped new Tacoma pickups for sale, compared with more than 21,000 automatic Tacos.
Elsewhere, Ram had a big 2019, introducing new versions of its light- and heavy-duty pickups. Unsurprisingly, the trucks undergo minimal updates for the 2020 model year. The most significant change is for the Ram 1500, which adds the 3.0-liter EcoDiesel V-6 as an option across all trim levels. Find out what else is changed in the link below.
