In what should be seen as an effort to make the excellent Durango SRT even more of a sleeper SUV, Dodge is offering — for a limited time — a Rallye Appearance Package on the mid-level Durango GT that includes the performance hood, front end and LED foglights from the SRT and R/T models.

What were initially SRT-exclusive parts were made available on the less-beastly Durango R/T last summer, and now they've trickled down to GT models. The Rallye Appearance Package adds the hood, front end and foglights for $1,495 on top of the GT's $38,990 starting price (including a $1,095 destination charge). The package can be combined with the Blacktop Package, which adds gloss black 20-inch wheels, as well as gloss black badges, mirrors and grille. If you want to switch things up a little, copper Brass Monkey wheels can be swapped in.
This gives you a good-looking SUV powered by a 295-horsepower, 3.6-liter V-6 that looks like a good-looking SUV powered by a 475-hp, 6.4-liter V-8. And probably an extra $20 grand or so in your pocket — not to mention fuel-cost savings.
The Rallye Appearance Package is available for ordering now in seven color choices: Vice White, White Knuckle, Octane Red, Redline Red, DB Black, Granite and In-Violet. Translated, that's: two shades of white, two shades of red, black, gray and purple.
