Extreme Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk Gets Extreme Price
CARS.COM — It’s no surprise that the most outrageous version of the Jeep Grand Cherokee is also the most expensive. When the 2018 Trackhawk model goes on sale later this year, it’ll start at $86,995, a big jump over the current performance-oriented, topline SRT model’s $68,490 base price (all prices include destination).

Jeep calls the Trackhawk the quickest, most powerful SUV ever, and it has the numbers to back that up. Power comes from a supercharged 6.2-liter V-8 making 707 horsepower and 645 pounds-feet of torque — a big step up over the SRT model’s 475-hp, 6.4-liter V-8.
Jeep says the Trackhawk sprints from zero-to-60 mph in just 3.5 seconds and has a top speed of 180 mph. On the flip side, high-performance Brembo brakes deliver 60-to-zero-mph stopping performance of 114 feet as well as a pop of color — the calipers are bright yellow.
Although there’s nothing subtle about its powertrain, the Trackhawk’s styling has a slightly more understated vibe. It rides 1 inch lower than regular Grand Cherokee models and wears a sculpted hood with dual heat extractors, 20-inch titanium-finish wheels, a gloss-black rear valance and 4-inch black-chrome quad exhaust tips.
The 2018 Grand Cherokee Trackhawk will be built in Detroit at the Jefferson North Assembly Plant and go on sale at the end of 2017. Customers can begin placing orders at Jeep dealerships Thursday.
