Got Twins? Get Ready for a Mess and a Bigger Car

CARS.COM — Sometimes, without even trying, I am on trend. Ombre hair? Yep, nailed that one (who has time for highlights?). Twins? Double nod; I’m actually ahead of the curve on that one. Celebrity parents George and Amal Clooney may have just revealed the sex of their twins and Beyonce‚ and Jay Z recently announced they’re expecting twins, but my pair of misfits are nearly 3, which makes me an old hat when it comes to navigating double trouble. With twins, everything’s louder, crazier and messier … and that includes the car.

As the mom of three and an auto journalist, I bow at the altar of the minivan, the veritable family-room-on-wheels. But I get it: Old stereotypes die hard and vans seem about as cool as Beyonce allegedly Photoshopping her social media photos. Since the Clooneys and Bey Z are unlikely to upgrade to a mom-mobile, here are some roomy vehicles that excel at accommodating all those car seats:
