Affected vehicles include model-year 2021-25 Acura TLX sedans and model-year 2023-25 Acura MDX and Honda Pilot SUVs. The brake-pedal pivot pin may not have been secured properly, allowing the pedal to come out of position and preventing the driver from applying the brakes as needed. This issue increases the risk of a crash.
Dealers will inspect and replace the brake pedal assembly, as necessary, for free. Honda will notify owners July 28, but those with questions in the meantime can contact Honda at 888-234-2138 (Honda’s numbers for this recall are FLX and XLY), the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s vehicle-safety hotline at 888-327-4236, or visit its website to check their vehicle identification number and learn more.
