How Much Is the 2025 Mercedes-Benz GLS?

The SUV of choice for big families who don’t tolerate compromise well, the Mercedes-Benz GLS is a large luxury SUV available in four-, six- or seven-passenger configurations. Starting prices range from just over $90,000 to more than $179,000, and even the base version packs 375 horsepower.
For the 2025 model year, the only changes for the GLS are new interior and exterior color choices and the available Manufaktur Signature Interior Package, which includes a Nappa leather interior, as well as head-restraint pillows and high-pile floormats that feature the Mercedes star logo. A biometric fingerprint sensor is also now standard across the model line, allowing multiple driver profiles for vehicle settings.

What Are the 2025 Mercedes-Benz GLS’s Trim Levels?
As the flagship of the Mercedes-Benz SUV lineup, the GLS is generously equipped even in standard form. The entry-level GLS450 rides on a height-adjustable air suspension with adaptive dampers and 21-inch wheels. The exterior also includes a panoramic moonroof, LED lighting with automatic high beams, rain-sensing windshield wipers, a power liftgate, and keyless entry and start. Inside, the GLS450 is upholstered in synthetic leather and features power-adjustable heated and ventilated front seats, four-zone automatic climate control and ambient lighting. The standard tech suite consists of a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, wireless device charging, a 13-speaker Burmester surround-sound system, and a 12.3-inch touchscreen with augmented-reality navigation, voice control, and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
The GLS’s battery of standard safety tech is likewise comprehensive: forward collision warning with pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, front cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, blind spot intervention, lane departure steering assist, lane change assist, emergency steering assist, road-sign recognition and a driver-attention monitor. There’s a standard 360-degree parking camera for when you reach your destination, or drivers can let the GLS park itself. Optional safety gear is limited to a head-up display and a dashcam.
In addition to more power, the GLS580 gains 22-inch wheels, as well as an upgraded interior with genuine leather, massaging front seats with rapid heating, heated second-row seats, five-zone automatic climate control and a heated steering wheel.
The AMG GLS63 is cinched down over a stiffer sport suspension with a limited-slip rear differential. It also features Nappa leather upholstery, active engine mounts, a Class IV trailer hitch and a performance exhaust. A head-up display is also standard in the AMG.
Those looking for a GLS that is more extra but don’t want the sportier AMG can opt for the ultra-luxury Mercedes-Maybach GLS600. Available in a selection of mono- and two-tone paint schemes, the Maybach rides on Mercedes’ E-Active Body Control, which scans the road ahead and proactively adjusts the suspension at each wheel to minimize bumps and can also resist body roll by leaning the vehicle into curves or pump the suspension to free the GLS when it is stuck. The Maybach GLS600 also gets 22-inch wheels and a 29-speaker premium Burmester sound system.
What Are the 2025 GLS’s Powertrain Specs and MPG?
Every 2025 GLS has a nine-speed automatic transmission and 4Matic all-wheel drive. The GLS450 is powered by a turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-six-cylinder engine with 375 horsepower and 369 pounds-feet of torque. Mercedes says it will accelerate from 0-60 mph in 5.8 seconds, and it returns an EPA-rated 19/24/21 mpg city/highway/combined.
The rest of the GLS lineup is powered by variations on Mercedes’ twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V-8. In the GLS580, the mild-hybrid V-8 generates 510 hp and 538 pounds-feet of torque; it will hit 60 mph in a claimed 4.7 seconds and returns 14/19/16 mpg. Massaged by AMG’s engine specialists, the 603-hp GLS63 whips up 627 pounds-feet, good enough to get to 60 in just 4.1 seconds and an EPA-rated 14/18/15 mpg. The Maybach splits the difference between the GLS580 and AMG GLS63, with 550 hp and 538 pounds-feet, a claimed 4.8-second 0-60 sprint and 13/18/15 mpg.
