Pour one out for another member of the sub-$30K club: The new 2026 Kia Sportage is getting a slight bump in price to $30,085 (all prices include $1,395 destination fee) that pushes it right over that threshold. Kia announced pricing for its non-hybrid Sportage today, and while the face-lift is minor, it includes just enough restyling and extra standard equipment to push the compact SUV’s base trim level up in price by just over $1,500.

What Are the 2026 Kia Sportage’s Trim Levels?

The Sportage comes in a wide variety of trim levels: LX, EX, SX, SX Prestige, X-Line and X-Pro Prestige.

With this refresh, the Sportage comes with even more standard equipment, including a 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, satellite radio, dual rear USB-C charging ports, keyless entry and starting, remote start and LED lighting. It also includes a solid set of driver-assistance and safety features, including adaptive cruise control capable of handling stop-and-go traffic, automatic emergency braking with pedestrian and cyclist detection, and front and rear parking sensors. Blind spot warning and rear cross-traffic collision avoidance are also standard across the model line, save for the base LX trim, where it is optional.

In addition to the standard equipment, the entry-level LX spec includes a cloth interior, six-speaker audio system, 17-inch alloy wheels and a 4.2-inch digital gauge display.

Stepping up to the EX adds dual-zone automatic climate control, a height-adjustable power liftgate, a cooled wireless phone charging pad, heated front seats and exterior mirrors, 18-inch alloy wheels, synthetic leather seats and a 10-way power-adjustable driver’s seat with two-way adjustable lumbar support.

The SX builds on the EX’s equipment, adding a panoramic moonroof, 12.3-inch driver’s information display, navigation, a Harmon Kardon premium audio system, Kia’s Highway Driving Assist semi-autonomous driving system that combines adaptive cruise control and lane-centering steering, and memory buttons for the driver’s seat and external mirrors.

Moving up to the SX-Prestige adds LED foglights, 19-inch alloy wheels, power-folding side mirrors, a heated steering wheel, an eight-way power-adjustable passenger seat, ventilated front seats, blind spot camera views that appear in the gauge cluster, a 360-degree camera and a more premium synthetic leather interior.

The X-Line is the Sportage’s off-road-lite package, featuring unique front and rear bumper designs, a tread-like pattern stitched into its synthetic-leather-trimmed seats, darker styling elements, a roof rack and trim-specific 19-inch wheels with all-season tires. The panoramic moonroof is optional.

The X-Pro Prestige is the Sportage’s most off-road-ready package, which takes the design flourishes of the X-Line and gets more serious about heading off the pavement with 17-inch matte-black wheels, all-terrain tires, LED projector headlights and foglights, a panoramic moonroof, a heated windshield, heated nozzle windshield wipers and two-tone color options.

What Are the 2026 Kia Sportage’s Powertrain Specs and MPG?

All non-hybrid 2026 Sportages come with a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission. It’s good for 187 horsepower and 178 pounds-feet of torque and can tow up to 3,500 pounds. AWD variants feature a center locking differential as well as selectable Snow, Sand and Mud terrain modes to adjust various settings for different driving conditions.

Official EPA fuel economy stats haven’t been released yet, but Kia claims that the Sportage gets 25/33/28 mpg city/highway/combined with FWD and 24/30/26 mpg with most AWD variants save for the X-Pro Prestige, which sacrifices a little fuel economy for its extra equipment at 23/26/24 mpg.
