How Much Is the Redesigned 2025 Volkswagen Tiguan?

Volkswagen has revealed pricing for the all-new, third-generation 2025 Tiguan, which features a refined design, upgraded technology and a more premium interior. The compact SUV now includes a standard 12.9-inch infotainment display and an updated powertrain.

Pricing and Release Date
The 2025 Tiguan will go on sale soon. Pricing for the full lineup is as follows (all prices include $1,425 destination fee). Front-wheel drive is standard. All-wheel drive adds $1,500 to the S and SE R-Line Black trims and $980 to the SE trim; AWD is standard on the SEL R-Line.

What Are the 2025 Tiguan’s Powertrain Specs?
The 2025 Tiguan comes equipped with a revised 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine producing 201 horsepower; it’s mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission. Official EPA-rated fuel economy ratings have not yet been released.
FWD variants are prepped for towing up to 1,500 pounds, while AWD versions are rated for 1,800 pounds.
What Are the 2025 Tiguan’s Trim Levels and Features?
The 2025 Tiguan S sets the foundation with 17-inch alloy wheels, LED headlights and taillights, keyless entry, a steering wheel wrapped in synthetic leather, manual front seats, cloth upholstery, four USB-C ports, a wireless charging pad, voice controls, a 10.25-inch digital instrument panel, and a 12.9-inch infotainment display with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
The Tiguan also features the IQ.Drive suite of driver-assistance tech as standard. It includes adaptive cruise control, blind spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert with rear automatic braking, forward collision warning with pedestrian and cyclist detection, automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning and lane departure steering assist. Front and rear parking sensors and automatic high beams are also standard.
Moving up, the SE trim adds 19-inch wheels, a power liftgate, a heated wiper park, a power driver’s seat and perforated synthetic leather seats. A new Atmospheres feature blends ambient lighting and audio settings, with 10 preset colors to match the driver’s mood.
The sportier SE R-Line Black enhances styling with 20-inch black alloy wheels, R-Line bumpers and side sills, unique badges, black exterior accents and a black headliner. A perforated sport-touch steering wheel, head-up display, stainless steel pedals and R-Line scuff plates further differentiate the SE R-Line Black from the rest of the lineup.
At the top of the range, the SEL R-Line features 20-inch silver R-Line wheels, quilted leather seats with ventilation and massage functions, 30-color ambient lightning, wood interior trim, a power-adjustable passenger seat, a heated steering wheel, heated rear outboard seats, a hands-free power liftgate and a 15-inch infotainment display. It also gets a Harman Kardon 12-speaker premium audio system, navigation, automated parking and three-zone climate control. Exterior enhancements include power-folding mirrors, a lit VW front logo, a red-lit rear badge and light bar, and mirror puddle lights.
