Hyundai’s three-row family hauler (and one-time Best of the Year award winner), the Palisade SUV, is being recalled for an easily comprehensible problem: failing windshield wipers.
The recall affects almost 123,000 model-year 2020-21 Palisades. The issue stems from the windshield wiper motor, which may become inoperative and cause the wipers to fail — a dangerous situation in times when they’re needed.
Hyundai currently is working on a remedy, but the automaker will begin notifying owners Oct. 14. Those with further questions can call the automaker at 855-371-9460 (Hyundai’s number for this recall is 233), the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s vehicle-safety hotline at 888-327-4236, or visit its website to check your vehicle identification number and learn more.
