CARS.COM —Nissan today announced pricing for its refreshed 2017 Rogue. The compact SUV will start at $24,760 including destination — about $490 more than the outgoing version. It gets exterior styling tweaks and newly available equipment. All-wheel drive adds $1,350 at all three trim levels, including S, SV and SL.
The mid-level SV trim starts at $26,180 and the top SL trim starts at $30,900. The Rogue is in the middle, price-wise, among top compact SUV competitors, such as the Honda CR-V, which starts around $24,000, and the Toyota RAV4, which starts around $25,000.
Exterior updates include a new front-end design and an available motion-activated liftgate. Inside, updates include a new D-shaped steering wheel and leather-wrapped sport-mode shifter, available heated steering wheel, memory for the driver’s seat and mirror, and remote start. In addition, there’s refreshed cabin materials and design features such as new door and instrument-panel finishers, a new shift-knob design, a revised center console and console lid, and new seat fabric, all contributing to a “more premium look and feel,” Nissan stated.
Newly available advanced safety and convenience features include adaptive cruise control and auto emergency braking with pedestrian detection. The powertrain carries over, featuring a 2.5-liter four-cylinder that makes 170 horsepower and 175 pounds-feet of torque.
Pricing has not yet been announced for the all-new Rogue Hybrid, which will join the lineup by the end of this year as the first-ever gas-electric hybrid version of the compact SUV. Debuting in November at the 2016 Los Angeles Auto Show, meanwhile, is the 2017 Nissan Rogue: Rogue One Star Wars Limited Edition, a cross-promotional endeavor for the latest entry in the “Star Wars” film saga.
