CARS.COM — Nissan decided to celebrate the sales successes of three of its crossovers — the Murano, Pathfinder and Rogue – by outfitting them for extreme winter weather. Most of the cosmetic changes to the concept vehicles are minor: they feature custom vinyl wraps and are outfitted with Nissan accessories such as roof rail crossbars and rear bumper protectors.
And then there are the tracks. Each vehicle’s wheels and tires have been replaced with DOMINATOR tracks made by American Track Truck, Inc. The tracks are 48 inches long, 30 inches high and 15 inches wide and the wheel wells and suspensions were customized to fit the tracks. The frames of the tracks are a custom matte black to enhance their aggressive appearance. Sadly, these are only concept vehicles, but if you’ve ever wondered, “Could I replace the wheels and tires of my Rogue with rubber tracks?” the answer is yes, you can (with a little bit of work to make them fit).
