CARS.COM — A Mercedes-Benz teaser video dropped today revealing the exterior features of the redesigned – and curvy – CLS-Class “four-door coupe” due to be unveiled Wednesday at the 2017 Los Angeles Auto Show.
The video — watch it below — lovingly scans the various exterior details and shapes, along with showing a full silhouette. The soundtrack is upscale Germanic mood music befitting the car’s status and a price stretching into six figures. (“Don’t Worry, Be Happy” it is not.)
The video follows teaser photos last week of the grille and lighting, and of the redesigned dashboard that has a single glass panel spanning a pair of foot-wide screens. The center screen handles multimedia and control functions, and the one in front of the driver is a configurable instrument and information display.
Shown on the center display in the photo is the menu for the new Energizing Comfort system that debuted in the 2018 S-Class sedan. The system lets you select one of several holistic cabin atmospheres with pre-programmed 10-minute sessions to perk up or calm down your mood with appropriate music, cabin aromatherapy, seat-massage settings, seat heating and ventilation, and colorful ambient lighting.
Cars.com will be there when Mercedes rolls out the new CLS in L.A., so check back for full coverage.
