Here’s a bit of news for folks who like the looks of the new Pontiac Solstice, but like me were disappointed by its pep. The turbocharged version, called the GXP, now has an official starting price of $25,995.
What’s so special about the GXP and its new engine? Well, horsepower jumps a whopping 47% to 260 hp. This should effectively stop all the complaints about how slow the base model is, and the GXP’s performance may even make you forget about its miniscule trunk space. The Solstice GXP will arrive in dealerships this fall, but if you’re interested make sure to get on a waiting list now for this low-volume model.
