Scion has its roots in small hatchbacks and coupes like the funky xB and tC, and it most recently made a splash with its rear-wheel-drive FR-S coupe. Those cars haven’t been enough for the ailing youth-oriented division of Toyota; Scion sales were down 15.1 percent in 2014 compared to 2013. The brand plans to add fresh blood to its lineup over the next three years with three new models for its core audience of 18 to 34 year olds. One of those new models will be Scion’s first sedan.
The unnamed Scion sedan will be unveiled this April at the 2015 New York International Auto Show alongside the production version of the Scion iM hatchback concept shown at the 2014 Los Angeles Auto Show in November. Scion says more information on the two New York auto show debuts will be available in the coming months.
