The redesigned Subaru Impreza enters the 2024 model year as a hatchback-only offering, as the sedan variant is being discontinued. Subaru has now revealed official pricing for the compact car, with the base model starting at $24,085 (all pricing includes $1,090 destination fee).
The 2024 Impreza received a refresh for its exterior styling, and Subaru also simplified the trim ladder to Base, Sport and RS. The Base comes with an array of standard equipment, including steering responsive LED headlights, Subaru’s EyeSight camera system, dual-zone climate control and a pair of 7-inch touchscreens. The upper screen controls infotainment functionalities, including Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, the backup camera, audio and navigation; the lower screen is reserved for climate controls and vehicle settings.
Moving up to the mid-range Sport gets a bigger 11.6-inch infotainment screen with Subaru’s Starlink system and a six speaker premium audio system. Sport models also get LED foglights, a sport-tuned suspension, dark-gray 18-inch alloy wheels, black cloth seats with red stitching, keyless access and push-button start.
For 2024, the RS trim makes its way back to the Impreza, this time as the range-topping variant. It builds on the Sport by adding paddle shifters, black exterior accents, upgraded LED headlights, carbon-fiber interior accents, black and red cloth seats, a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shifter, power moonroof, Harman Kardon 10-speaker audio system, wireless charging pad, aluminum-alloy pedal covers and an All-Weather Package. Standard safety equipment include lane change assist, blind spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert and automatic emergency steering.
Performance for the 2024 Subaru Impreza comes from a pair of engines. The Base and Sport models get a 152-horsepower, 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine, while the RS gets a bigger 182-hp, 2.5-liter four-cylinder. Both engines are mated to a continuously variable automatic transmission, and all-wheel drive is standard.
