During our recent stop at the 2018 State Fair of Texas, we had the chance to get a closeup look at for both the extended-cab mid-size Tacoma and half-ton Tundra model-year 2019 pickup trucks.
The new SX appearance package meets Toyota's desire to bring more style to lower level trim levels, in this case the Tacoma SR and Tundra SR5. The SX Package adds some nice styling cues and black-out touches to the trucks.
The Tacoma SX has unique matte-finish black rims, black door handles, mirror covers and grille surrounds, with black fender flares and no badging (except on the tailgate of the 4×4).
The Tundra SX also has unique black wheels (glossy) and a clean, no-badge look with black door handles, mirror covers, grille surround and headlight inserts. The Tacoma SX Package adds $560 to the cost of an SR, while the Tundra SX Package adds $1,630 to the SR5. They are on sale now.
Check out our video detailing the new look.
