In response to the wildfires currently ravaging parts of California and the recent tornadoes that damaged large portions of North Texas, Toyota Financial Services and Lexus Financial Services will work to help customers impacted by the disasters who are leasing or financing their cars. Customers will be offered what Toyota says are “several” payment-relief options, including but not limited to extensions and deferred payments, redirecting billing statements for those who have relocated, and setting up phone or online payments.
Toyota Financial Services and Lexus Financial Services (Lexus is Toyota’s luxury brand) will be attempting to proactively contact customers in these areas to see if any of these relief options would be helpful, but customers are also invited to contact TFS or LFS themselves. Toyota customers can call 800-874-8822 or email using the Mail Center function after logging into ToyotaFinancial.com; Lexus customers should call 800-874-7050 or email using the Mail Center function after logging into LexusFinancial.com.
In addition to helping affected customers, Toyota also says it’s donating $100,000 to the Dallas Independent School District to assist in the tornado recovery effort and $50,000 each to the American Red Cross and California Community Foundation’s Wildfire Relief Fund to aid recovery from the wildfires.
