Volkswagen Is Taking Us to Taos With New Compact SUV
Volkswagen has been teasing its new compact SUV throughout September, and the hints continue with the new vehicle’s name, revealed today. Pulling a page from Hyundai’s name-new-cars-after-vacation-spots book, Volkswagen has announced its forthcoming new compact SUV is named Taos, a town in New Mexico.

The all-new Taos marks the second launch of a new SUV for VW this year after the Atlas Cross Sport, and it will be the smallest SUV in the automaker’s U.S. lineup, sliding in under the Tiguan.
