Deceptive Warranty Practices and Poor Customer

Deceptive Warranty Practices and Poor Customer Service I purchased a vehicle from Jim Lupient Infinite, lured by their so-called "lifetime powertrain warranty," only to discover the lack of transparency and the near-impossible conditions attached to it. They fail to disclose how strict the preventive service schedule is, making it easy for customers to unintentionally void their warranty. Even a minor delay in services, or trusting service advisors who fail to accurately inform you of what's needed, puts you at risk of losing the warranty entirely. What’s worse is their habit of retroactively changing service records to make it look like you missed required maintenance by a greater margin. This dishonest practice makes customers feel manipulated, and it’s shocking that such behavior is tolerated. The lack of concern from their customer service team is equally maddening. Instead of addressing these issues with care and respect, they dismiss your concerns and provide little to no support. Consumers deserve better. I strongly urge potential buyers to proceed with caution. If you’re considering a purchase here, be aware of the fine print, and don't trust verbal assurances—get everything in writing. This dealership has made me lose trust not only in their brand but in the car-buying process overall.

Our lifetime powertrain warranty requires all manufacturer maintenance schedules to be adhered to, which is clearly outlined in all warranty documentation and is declared by both our sales professionals and finance managers at the time of purchase. Your vehicle had over 10,000 miles in overdue services, voiding the lifetime powertrain warranty. There has been, and never will be, any manipulation of service documentation in our service centers.

Consumer response

All of this was deliberately withheld during my conversation with the F&I director. Furthermore, I was actively discouraged from purchasing an extended service contract due to the so-called “lifetime powertrain warranty” you offered—a tactic that one of your own employees later confirmed as standard practice. Had I been given honest information and purchased the extended service contract, my repair would have been covered. Instead, your deceitful approach led me to trust your organization, a trust that has now been completely shattered. It’s also quite telling that the F&I director was conveniently fired last Friday—right after I started calling attention to your lack of disclosure and blatantly deceptive business practices. This isn’t just an oversight; it’s a calculated betrayal of the trust that any consumer should be able to have in Jim LUPIENT Infiniti.

Consumer response

The claim of over 10k miles in overdue services is yet another blatant lie, maybe if you added up the mileages missed as a cumulation. It’s clear that your organization manipulates the truth whenever it suits your agenda, all while disregarding the very customers who keep your business running. In reality, I have spent over $7,000 on these so-called “late services” in the past 2.5 years—hardly the neglect you’re trying to suggest. You will be hearing from the BBB. And let’s not ignore the fact that your own employees have admitted this issue my car is experiencing is a none issue on my model, even when every recommended service is followed to the letter. Your dishonesty is not only appalling but also systematically ingrained in how you do business.
