Talked to Russ. I was trying to agree on a price prior to making the two hour drive. I asked Russ if they have a service fee. He said he didn’t know what... a service fee was. When I asked more about pricing, he told me that the car was miss priced and would be going up $1000. (It had been listed at this price for a week.) However, they would keep the advertised price for me. I pressed harder and he told me that the final price would ultimately be $900 more than the advertised price due to more fees than I could keep up with (detailing fee, document fee, out of state fee, etc.). This price was without tax/title/license . The worse thing is that I really had to press to get the truth. I am fairly sure your dealer knows what a service fee is since you have more fees than I have ever seen at any dealer. I will stay local and look for a more honest dealer.

Shopping for a car at Napleton's Schaumburg Subaru was such a great experience. From the time I walked in until I walked out, I was treated like family.... Maybe even better. All of the employees of the dealer that I dealt with were professional, courteous and friendly. I was not pressured to buy or sign anything. I wish car buying was like this all of the time. From Mike to Nick, Max and Charles to Lance, this was a pleasant experience. If the treats me anything like the dealership, both Napleton's Schaumburg Subaru and Subaru have a lifelong customer.

My girlfriend bought a 2011 Forester from a different Subaru dealer new. About 2 years ago she noticed it was consuming oil and took it in to a different... dealer out of state. The dealer quoted her $2500. She declined and for 2 years she checked her oil weekly and added to keep it between the min/max marks. She was handing the car over to her 16 year old daughter but though she should get this fixed first. Turns out there is a class action lawsuit for this problem and is covered under warranty. She went to Napleton Subaru and they did the 1200 mile consumption test, with resistance. We watched as over time the level dropped. She began to get worried as the level actually dropped to and below the min mark. She took it back to Napleton and they took the car out of her sight and brought it back saying it was right in the middle so they "topped it off" and told her they were not going to do anything about it. Well topping it off is a red flag, and they also over filled it by more than a 1/2 quart to begin with. It's unfortunate there are dealers and service centers that still behave in this unethical matter. Her idea of giving her car to her 16 year old daughter (as she saw in Subaru's commercials and got the idea) and buying a new Subaru went out the door when we learned of Napleton's business practices. Ed Napleton should be ashamed of himself.
UPDATED REVIEW: after showing everyone their true face, mike spencer the one who kicked me out from the dealership used my SSC number again to get 2019... Subaru which I never asked and applied for. It calls FRAUD OF INFORMATION. I got approved for 2019 subaru after ruining my credit 3 times today 8/17/2019, total 10 times with yesterday. "Manager" mike spencer told me he will not use my SSC number again, and WILL NOT CHECK ANYMORE MY CREDIT HISTORY YESTERDAY. HE IS A LIAR!!!!! Funny part, they did not approve me for $7,000 2011 Subaru, but approved for $30,000 2019 Subaru!!!!! !!!!STAY AWAY FROM HERE WHEN YOU READ MY REVIEW FOR UR GOOD!!!!! They only try to sell u expensive cars so u give them more money!!!!!! 8/16/2019: All these people and cars are scam. They will turn you down many times and will claim it is ur fault. Mike who is rude, aggressive “manager”, thinks he knows everything but nothing. Others Jeff, Kyle are all do nothing but follow his presidency. They will check your credit MANY times til u get alert and wanna stop this insatiable manager who claimed it because of car. Checked my credit 7 times for no reason cause i have 2 Amex card which much better than their banks and themselves. Stay away from here as long as u want to be credit inquire manyak by them. There is only 2 people work well are Russ and Andrew, erase others. Well, after presidency of thrusting “manager”, u should not even bother urself to get car from here.
