Poor communication from Florence Toyota. They will not sell me a car if they do not respond to my multiple emails. I wanted to have a few questions answered... before purchasing a new car. Oh well, their loss.
If I could give zero stars I would, indeed do so. I just purchased a used 2017 Honda Civic from this dealership less than a week ago. The paperwork with... the dealership’s letterhead given to me by a manager indicates a CD player. There is not one. Note: salesmen stated there was a CD player. I had no cds with me so I told them I would play it when I got home. I spoke with a manger and the salesman AJ Monday. Both said that listing the vehicle had a CD player was a “mistake”. I explained I was told verbally and through the paperwork with this dealer’s letterhead and signature that a cd was part of the entertainment package. No one made an effort to help. Also, the spare tire was grossly under inflated. Ther was no spare repair kit-jack, lug wrench, etc. AJ the salesman told my father and me that this dealership “does not inspect” spare tires; however the Toyota website states that a thorough 160 point inspection is done. There was a bubble in the tire. And the car was not cleaned. AJ, whom I might add had quite the attitude when confronted about these issues—stated the car probably got dirty from the company that tinted the windows. No one made any effort to rectify this issue. My father contacted the General Manager, who stated the inclusion of a CD player on the description was a “mistake”. Apparently no one at this company grasps the concept of responsibility. I would not recommend this dealership to anyone . Never have I encountered such dishonesty and deception at a company. I will be contacting BBB.
My experience at Florence Toyota was good, my sales associate Garry Cato was great. If I wanted to he was going to let me test drive every car on that... lot, until I was satisfied with the car I wanted to purchase. Thanks to Garry I'm a proud owner of a Toyota Avalon. Thanks a lot Garry. If you are in need of a vehicle go to Florence Toyota and ask for GARRY CATO.
Hi Michael - Congratulations on your new Toyota Avalon! Thank you so much for your kind words and positive feedback. We're glad you not only chose Flo...rence Toyota when purchasing your vehicle, but also that you enjoyed your most recent visit with us. Garry is an asset to our team and will be thrilled to hear that his great customer service has made another satisfied customer. We look forward to seeing you during your next visit. Thanks again! The facility and salesman was nice; however that is as far as it goes. I drove roughly 2.5 Hrs to look at a used 2014 tundra that was toyota certified... only to find scratches and rub marks all along the passengers side, including the side mirror and front bumper, which actually had paint missing and the bumper was slightly pushed in, if that's the quality of "toyota certified" I don't want it. The vehicle also had not been detailed yet as there were coffee stains all over the dash. In addition, the finance department was whom I "negotiated" with and by negotiating with, I mean him laughing at me and thanking me for coming. My offer was low and on purpose to see where we could have met at. I will not recommend to anyone to go there. That was by FAR the worst experience I have ever had at dealership!
GK- We value your time and apologize that the vehicle you came to look at didn't meet your expectations. Your trust and time are so important to us, ...and we work very hard to ensure each guest is taken care of to the best of our abilities. However, the Tundra you're interested in is priced competitively at $31,991, you offered $29,500. Internet pricing is very aggressive and cannot be negotiated. You came in on an appointment after inquiring on the Tundra, receiving details, pictures, and pricing. If you would like to discuss this issue further, please reach out to me as soon as possible, Terry Moore 843-669-1676.
Worst car buying experience ever. Troy was our salesman, he never return calls when he promised. Felt like I was being lied to the entire time. I have... purchased three cars from Florence Toyota previously with great success, but with a different salesman and different management.
We strive to provide all of our customers with world class service. I apologize that you did not receive that level of service from Troy and our team.... Please call me at 843-610-5777 if there is anything I can do to rectify the situation. Thanks, Randy Martin Sales Manager
Purchasing a car at Florence Toyota was the easiest, friendliest, professional experience in buying a car. Garry Cato is the guy to see abut purchasing... your next new or used car.

GREAT! Terrell taught us, didn't sell us and that made all the difference in the world. We learned about the various options, got to see how they worked... with sincere interest in whether they were right for us - or not. So far, very happy with the customized attention to our needs and wants.
Thanks Karla! We appreciate your business - Wayne Cook, General Manager
My transaction was primarily internet based. I found a 2013 Dodge Grand Caravan listed on Cars.com at lunch time at work on Thursday March 6, 2014. I contacted... Florence Toyota at that time, via the contact "make offer" tools available at the Florence Toyota website. Within an hour Jay Belangia contacted me via email requesting more information on my trade vehicle. I provided this information, again via email, at 1:09pm, to Jay. At 2:29pm Jay contacted me again via email, accepting the terms of my offer. I responded via email confirming acceptance at 4:13pm and contacted Jay via telephone at that time as well. Jay took my deposit via credit card over the phone, and the van was mine. On Friday March 7, 2014 I made the trip from Charlotte, NC to pick up and pay for my van in full. Jay Belangia and Florence Toyota by far exceeded my expectations and my previous experience in purchasing a vehicle. Essentially, but for the details, we were done in less than 2 hours, and I was still able to get a bunch of stuff done at work. In my opinion, this is how technology is supposed to work for us. Also note worthy here, is the fact that I had been hunting a van of this type since November 2013. I had visited multiple dealers, driven multiple vans in the greater Charlotte area. The terms of my transaction offered to Florence Toyota were no different than the terms I communicated to dealerships in my area, and were accepted quickly and without reservation (only that my trade matched my description - which it did). I can say that Florence Toyota and Jay Belangia will be first on my list for my next vehicle purchase. My (4) star rating here would have been 5, had my paperwork been accomplished more quickly. I had to wait a bit longer than I felt necessary to get this wrapped up, but outside of that pretty much a perfect transaction. Absolutely the way to do business.
