I leased a new Highlander last week at Toyota South. I originally spoke to Leo Alshire about the possibility of a used Highlander. He happened to have... almost exactly what I was looking for; but, I decided to consider leasing a new one. Leo was informative, courteous and did not pressure me into making any decisions. He was available by phone and text anytime I had questions and followed through with excellent customer care. I love my new vehicle and will certainly go back to Gates Toyota for my next vehicle.

He knew he would be absent, but planned ahead for Rick to take care of me the following Monday. Every man that was in the building treated me as if I were a member of the Royal family. The door was opened for me, I was asked more than once if I needed something cold to drink. I have never had such fantastic customer service in my life!! Found this dealership online and initially spoke to the internet sales rep who was wonderful! After speaking several times, I decided to make the drive... (4 hours) to checkout and possibly purchase the vechicle. I should have followed my gut when the Sales rep was extremely agitated. Apparently they had called him back to the lot after he had already left for the day, which he felt the need to share with me... Red flag #1 Unbeknownst to us, the delearship closed early that day because it was Labor Day. We arrived at 4:45 and they closed at 5pm. We test drove the vechicle and attempted to inspect it visually. I noticed that there was some spacing where the front bumper connects to body of vechicle and asked the sales rep if it could be repaired. He inspected it and said ???oh it just needs a clip, that???s a minor fix??? insinuating that I could easily repair it myself. Red Flag #2. I trusted the sales rep and agreed to purchase the vechicle. We returned back to Chattanooga , TN. After taking it to Toyota Delearship here, we uncovered that the spacing is due to damage to the low tie bar, a completing missing skid plate to support the front bumper and the repair est. of $2k. I immediately contacted the delearship and spoke to my initial contat, Kelly Pruitt. She asked me to forward the estimate details to her, which I did. I then get an email from Roger, stating that in the state of KY, used cars are sold As-is and they were sorry that I was having issues with my vechicle... No phone call, nothing. Piss poor Customer Service! Not to mention they never processed the vechicle registration, they just sent me a fedex envelope with paperwork to file everything myself! Again no phone call to communicate the we???re sending it to me, no explanation as to why they did not process as per my understanding, nothing.... Yet another Red Flag! I always buy my vechicles out of state because of competitive pricing but I would not recommend Toyota South!!!

Chase was very informative, didn't rush us and was genuinely interested in our needs. Toyota South didn't have the color of truck we wanted in stock... and he found exactly what we were looking for and had it delivered to the dealership the next day.
