Dealer never put deal through causing my trade in to be
Dealer never put deal through causing my trade in to be lost and took new car back. Until I made a formal complaint with state they would not work with me. Wrote a bad deal then threatens to keep my trade in. Then threatens to sue when I use investigation to get my money back. Lousy dealership that ruins good people lives. Owner threatens you if you’re smarter than him.

I purchased a 2012 Range Rover Sport from Colorado Auto Finders As Is on 10/5/2024. I was kind of hesitant about the purchase and asked the dealership if I could be sold a warranty, originally my sales person said that I could purchase a warranty. During the time I was filling out the paperwork to finance the vehicle , two different managers at the company told me I could NOT purchase a warranty because it was too expensive. I was told should something go wrong with the vehicle in a short amount of time I could reach out to them for help, what a joke. Two weeks into my purchase things started going wrong with the suv. I was having a consistent issue with the car loosing coolant and the check engine light coming on. I took it to a few different mechanics including Colorado Auto finders and initially I had different things on the vehicle fixed that never corrected the problem. As of recently I took the car back to CO Auto finders and was told the car has a bad head gasket, I was quoted a little over 12,000 for the repair. Mind you I financed the vehicle for a little over 14,000 and put down a little over 4600.00 for a down payment. CO Auto Finders offered to take 1900.00 off the cost of the repair which is completely unacceptable. I was later able to confirm that CO Auto Finders sold me the vehicle with the head gasket issue and never disclosed this to me. Had they told me about the head gasket issue I would have never purchased the car. I want CO Auto Finders to do the right thing and pay for the cost of the repair.

Hello Ralonda, While we appreciate that you are having challenges with your vehicle, the fact remains that you purchased a car with a clean Carfax report, and there were no issues of a head gasket repair listed on the CarFax report. Furthermore, you signed a Waiver of Benefits clearly stating that you declined to purchase an extended service agreement. We offer extended warranties to all our customers, but some decline due to the additional cost! With hundreds of elements in each used car, any single element can break down at any given time. No dealership can be held liable for repairs needed on a vehicle a couple of months after the purchase. The waiver clearly states that the customer assumes all responsibility for vehicle repairs. With that said, we attempted to help you, and absorb some of the cost of the repairs merely as a good-faith gesture. The final discounted estimate for the repair offered to you, which you once again declined, totaled $6000.00. We would contest that we went out of our way at the point of sale to help you purchase that vehicle, and once again did everything in our power to help you after the point of sale. Expecting any dealership to absorb all the cost of a repair on a used car, a couple of months post-sale, is unrealistic.

If I could give negative stars I would and I will make sure everyone, including our lawyers hear about this. They are thieves and liars. They sold us a car that started to have issues on the longer first drive. We took it in for a recall and learned that the transfer case is damaged and repairs are $8k in damages. This all happened within the first month of owning the car. We contacted them and they first dodged our calls and then we were redirected to George Sourial who sold it to us. When we were buying the car he said that they were the most reputable dealership in the area and that they check all their cars and provide the best rates. He flat out lied and was horribly rude on the phone. Don’t ever go here as they will sell you broken cars and far from reputable. They should take responsibility and be accountable for this.

We're committed to excellence and ensuring customer satisfaction is important to us. We understand that you spoke to the GM only late yesterday afternoon when you informed him that another dealership diagnosed your vehicle with needing a replacement transfer case. It seemed odd to get such a diagnosis when merely taking the vehicle in for a recall issued for a core headlight seal. His concern was it is unusual for a car that only had 37k miles on it, when it was purchased from us, to need a transfer case. They normally don't go bad that quickly. It is also our understanding that the GM offered to provide a second diagnosis, free of charge to ensure that the original diagnosis was indeed correct! Furthermore, he offered to help absorb some of the cost of the repairs of an accurate diagnosis, simply as a good faith gesture, as no dealership can be held liable for repairs needed on a used car that was purchased over a month ago; as they would have no way of knowing the how many miles were put of the car, or the condition in which the vehicle was driven. Regardless, we would still like to keep our commitment to providing excellent customer service, and we hope to have the opportunity to demonstrate this in the future. Let’s be clear with the truth. He suggested to come in for a diagnostic and when we asked for an appointment he said that the dealership was too busy right now. And we then called to make an appointment, and still haven’t received a call back. He did not offer to absorb any of the cost, but I would love to see that honored. Please contact us if you actually mean that. I do find it strange that you don’t trust the opinion and diagnostic of a Porsche dealership which specializes in these cars. But more so, that as professionals you say this is uncommon, but just doing a quick search on the issue - we discovered that this problem was VERY common in Porsches from those years and they even had 1) an extended warranty for this issue 2) there was a class action lawsuit that was filed against Porsche for this. If someone had just checked this problem one year earlier the car would still have been under the extended warranty. So - to me this clearly sounds like you guys knew about this and tried to cover it up. I’d love to be proved wrong and get your help to rectify the situation.
