I had a Pre Purchase Inspection(PPI) performed at

I had a Pre Purchase Inspection(PPI) performed at Mercedes Benz of Huntington in Long Island, New York on June 15th 2023, this was for a used 2016 AMG GTS that I purchased with 31,644 miles. The technician that performed the inspection missed easily identifiable damage which includes a damaged front right inner fender liner, a huge transmission leak, a audible gear wine from the transmission, very worn brake pads and rotors, and missing bolts from the rear transmission cover. The only things the technician noted were the tires needed to be replaced and a leaking front right strut. I’m very disappointed with this service and the dealerships communication with me to get this situation resolved. Below I have photos attached of the deficiencies noted above along with my communication time line with your staff and their names. 1. Call number #1 asked to be called back by the service manager 2. Call number #2 left service manager a message never received a call back 3. Call #3 asked to speak to the general manager Dennis Scheller and left a voice mail asking for a call back 4. Received a call back from Dennis Scheller on Friday July 7th at 1430, Dennis told me he would speak with service advisor Joe Sansivero and call me back Monday july 10th 5. I called Wednesday july 12th @ 12:32 to follow up with Dennis and left a voice mail asking for a call back(never got a call back) 6. Called Thursday July 13 @ 1153 spoke with sales associate, and asked to speak to Dennis was told he was in a meeting so I asked the lady to take my information to pass to him left my name and number and ask to be transferred to his voice mail where I left a message asking for a call back 7. Emailed the dealership Principal Mr. Buzzeta and CC Dennis Scheller and Joe Sanvivera on July 19 @1058 am letting him know what is going on 8. Steve Young the service manager called back July 19 @1143am to apologize saying he never got my messages, he stated “during the PPI we should have pulled the transmission cover and saw the leak” and asked if I wanted to speak to Dennis and I let him know I wanted to speak to the dealership principle Jim Buzzetta 9. Steve Young the service manager asks me to call, him we have a conversation @2:57pm he tells me that Mercedes Benz of Huntingtons stance is that they are not responsible even though when I spoke to him earlier in the day he said and I quote “during the PPI we should have pulled the transmission cover and saw the leak” As you can imagine this situation has cost me time and money, I would not have purchased the vehicle if the deficiencies noted above had been included in the PPI report. I would NOT trust Mercedes of Huntington, they did absolutely nothing to correct their own negligence.

Don't buy from them IF customer service is important to

Don't buy from them IF customer service is important to you! Mercedes-Benz of Huntington is not the place you want to go if you expect them to care about the car you just spent thousands of your hard-earned dollars on! After traveling all the way from Philadelphia and giving them a 10k cash deposit for my car, then spending another 3k for an extended warranty for a certified vehicle, I was treated like a homeless person on the street. They absolutely don't honor their agreement or stand behind the cars that they sell! Once you give them your money, they could not care less about you and the car they just sold you! Just 3 weeks after I purchased the car, I went to get it inspected at a Mercedes dealership in my area. I was told that one of my rims was cracked and to pass inspection, I had to pay $1,045.00 to get a new rim. The rim was 3/4 cracked on the inside of the car, which could not be seen when I purchased it. It’s now 2 months later and I' am still chasing after them to try to resolve this issue. Even though I know for sure that I didn't do this, I was willing to split the bill, but the manager continues to dismiss my issues. Why should I have to put 13k cash down on a certified vehicle, and then have to spend another 1k 3 weeks after my initial purchase????? I have never in my 53 years, felt so disrespected, dismissed, blown off, and ignored after spending my money, as I’ve felt doing business with them! At this point, I don't know if it's because I'm a woman, or because I'm black woman, or because I'm not rich and didn't spend 100k on a top model car. All I know is the treatment that I've received is unacceptable! Mercedes Benz Corporation in general sucks, as you have to climb mountains and swim oceans to get a response from them and then all they do is pacify you. In total I have made over 30 calls between the dealership and Mercedes Corporation since the end of December 2022, and my issues still aren’t resolved! I wish I never bought this car. I've always wanted a Mercedes, and now that I reached the time in my life where it was feasible to buy one, I must say I'm deeply disappointed and unhappy with this whole experience. I should have gone with my gut feeling, and bought a Lexus instead, because they definitely don’t hold up to their prestigious name, so think twice before buying a Mercedes, especially from them!

Stay away from the preowned manager

I had a terrible experience at this dealership. Their pre-owned manager Michael Anno was completely unprofessional and just had a nasty attitude towards people for no reason. Would not recommend purchasing any vehicle under him. Just highly disappointed.

They are pleasant and nice in the beginning especially the GM Dennison but know this, they will never honor a competitive offer and then will teat you poorly and insult you bc of you different opinion, especially the used car manager. First class operation from ordering to delivery!

First class operation from ordering to delivery! Big Steve is an expert salesman. He was knowledgeable about our first foray into the EV world (purchased a EQB 350 that we love!). We ordered the car in June and he kept us abreast on its production and delivery in October. He also helped us with the state & federal tax credits that are substantial. Wahid did our financial transaction. He also was very professional, offered us the typical options but was not at all pushy. The concierge gal (sorry forgot your name!) was incredible and knew every nuance of this highly technological car. All in all, a great car buying experience!

After shopping all over Long Island.

After shopping all over Long Island. Finally My Brother and I just bought our first Mercedes S class! What an Amazing beast of a vehicle! What was more Amazing is the way we were treated at this dealership! Very friendly, helpful and professional staff. Had one of the best experiences ever. It was quick, painless and within the same day. No hassle, no waits. Our Salesman David Kim gave us the best experience ever. Probably one of the most honest and polite Salespeople we've ever met! Overall good experience.

Overall good experience. Tom, our sales person is very efficient,responsive, straightforward, no gimmicks other that paying over sticker price. I understand that in current automobile market it's a common practice, but Mercedes take it to a all new level and excessive compare to other brands. I have been a loyal Mercedes customers for 15 years (although first time I am being from Mercedes-Benz of Huntington). Unfortunately, loyalty does not mean anything and it 's a little disappointing from such a brand. With that said, our Sales persons really did everything in this power to give us a better deal. Also, when we saw the car in the showroom the car had all-weather heavy duty floor mats and it was pointed out to us as great benefit for the winter month and that the carpet floor mats were also provided. They were actually in the trunk, still int their factory packaging. It is not only after couple of days I picked up the car that I realized that the floor mats were switched. The car has now the carpet mats but no all-weather mats . I notified the dealer, our sales person got back to us very quickly and told us that they were not included and send us a copy of the factory list of items that were included the vehicle. I find it very misleading that they would display the vehicle with something that is not included in the price, specially that all along the vehicle in the showroom is the actual one I was looking to buy and bought. If that the case it should clearly say "All-Weather Mats are only for display purpose " and available as an additional option. It is not a big deal, just disappointing.
