Went in for my 5 year mate Nance and to change a fog

Went in for my 5 year mate Nance and to change a fog light that was broken. First ofcall,they called me to pick it up at closing, had to wait till next day after work to pick it up. When I payed for the service and got to my car, they hadn't even fixed the fog light and when asked why,they said they didn't even have record of me making the order for the light. Most unprofessional honda dealership I've ever been too. Won't be going back

BEWARE! Local Only Buyers welcome! Discriminatory

If you are looking for a new Honda or Acura and you do not live within 45 miles of Montgomery AL DO NOT BOTHER. This dealership has a self-imposed do not sell policy to buyers outside of their area. Our family has purchased 9 Honda's of which 1 Acura was purchased at this dealership years ago. The Dealer could not produce the 45 mile self imposed policy in writing nor advertises this policy on their website. In their defense, they claim they take care of local customers only; however, cars.com shows buyers from outside the self imposed 45 mile radius of Montgomery. Dishonest, unprofessional and misleading sales management staff. Beware!

Buyer

Saturday morning I was given an out the door price on a Honda Ridgeline by a very nice salesperson. The manage was also involved in this quote. We were wanting to add a few accessories to the vehicle but had to wait until Monday when the part’s store opened to get prices on those. Saturday evening I received a call from the manager stating a mistake was made and needed to up the price 1,000 dollars. He said he had the only red Ridgeline in the state of Alabama and could just not let it go for that. We are an active duty military family which this manager was aware. This was also the second Honda dealership in the state of Alabama that made promises without delivering. We really wanted to buy from our home state. My husband and I understand the vehicle shortage right now but that will change. However, the consumer will not forget the way they were treated.

Buyer

Do not trust these people when you have an extended warranty on your car. They lie about things like you need a new compressor its not covered under warranty and when I said yes it is the lady at the dealership behide service desk said I called they don't cover it. So I called to find out why and the warranty place said NO ONE from Honda has called us and we will call the dealer to find out why they said that. So they tried to get $1,000 out of me to repair my car and when I confronted the service manager he said oh she just miss understood you had a warranty he covered it up. ALWAY GET COPIES OF WHAT THEY CHECK AND SERVICE NOT JUST COULD NOT DUPLICATE ISSUE. They are really good about document but not showing you any thing they do. I went to another shop and they said you even had a dry rot serpentine belt and why wasn't that told to me while at HONDA shop . Crooks and I wont ever buy a Honda because of the service and the mechanics.

Bad service

My honda odyssey was towed in for repairs because it would no longer crank. It was determined that I needed new battery cables but it was also suggested that I replace my power steering pump because it was going bad. I took their word even though I had no problems with power steering. Two weeks later, my van was making a funny noise. I had very little power steering fluid left. I took it back in and they said it was because the hose before the pump was bad. I questioned if that was what was wrong in the first place and they denied it. I had paid over $700 for the new pump. They charged me over $200 for the new hose. I paid almost a $1000 for repairs I didnt need. Within days, I had a call from someone in bookkeeping about this issue. I didnt call and complain. Someone must've told her about the situation. She said she would tell someone in management and I might get a call back. That was the first of August 2018. I'm still waiting Mcconnnell. I will never take the word of a mechanic again about an issue I have not experienced. I also will never buy another Honda.

Mr & Mrs Aaron Brown

The salesperson that helped us was Mr Richard King. Mr King was extremely helpful and patient. My wife wanted a new vehicle and had several questions, and during the purchase process we never felt rushed. Mr King took us around the dealership to show us different models until we were 100% satisfied with our selection.

Touring CRV

I went to McConnell Honda in Montgomery, Al. interested in purchasing a CRV. Upon entering the dealership a very nice young man named Dennis Long came immediately to assist me. What an awesome experience of purchasing an automobile. Dennis was extremely knowledgeable of all questions I asked and showed me several CRV's and helped me to select just the one I needed and wanted. He spent the entire time with me allowing me all the time I needed. I chose a touring CRV that had to be ordered, He told me it would take 3 weeks but it arrived in 2 weeks and Dennis Long kept me totally informed of the order and it came perfectly. I so appreciate this great experience and I am sure it would not have been this great without Dennis Long. I will recommend McConnell Honda and especially Dennis Long. When I need to purchase another automobile it will be a Honda and I will request Dennis Long to be my salesman. He helped me with all the purchasing, financing, and even showed me all of the dealership service department, and introduced me to others in the dealership. Thank You Dennis for an awesome experience.
