Shop Elsewhere - Avoid This Dealership and VW

I encourage you to check out the Yelp reviews of Larry H Miller to get a true understanding of the dealership and its service center. On Yelp they are rated two out of five across hundreds of reviews which I believe is more accurate. My partner purchased her new Tiguan from Larry H Miller. In less than two years it has had four blown out tires. These have occured from small bumps in the road or small potholes, not large incidents. She has had to go to the dealership to get them replaced four times. The vehicle is simply unsafe and unfit to drive despite being less than two years old. The year following her purchase, VW discontinued the wheel specs that she has. On this fourth visit, the dealership once again refused to address the root issue. They offered to purchase her car from her with an offer several thousand dollars less than the Kelly Blue Book value. Their used vehicles on their lot are also several thousand dollars more than what you find nearby. The most recent tire repair (one tire) took more than five hours. We were told by the manager to go get lunch and that he would call us in 45 minutes. He didn't. We received a call from Roberto three hours into service stating that VW was still investigating whether their tire blowing out was covered under their warranty. We never received another call. We called Larry Miller at 5 pm, and it was only then that they told us the car was ready. Absolutely unacceptable. Check Consumer Reports for reviews on Volkswagen. You will see that many of the models are the lowest in their class. My partner's experience with her Tiguan and Larry H Miller exemplify this. I've encouraged her to take her business elsewhere to a service-oriented dealership and brand that makes safe and reliable vehicles.

New Car Purchase

David Lax was extremely pleasant during the buying experience. He is very knowledgeable with the VW product line. I was planning to wait for the 2024 Atlas model but found out that the V6 engine would no longer be available after the 2023 model. I was happy to find the Atlas that I wanted at my local Lakewood, Colorado, Larry H. Miller VW dealership.

Dishonest Pricing Games

Decent customer service spoiled by dishonest pricing games. Asked for pricing on a car listed at $22k and they jacked up the price by $4k. Not only that, they added $1.5k in service charges to get the car in condition to sell. Avoid

Great Sales Service by Yannick!

I highly recommend working with Yannick G. at Larry H. Miller Volkswagen. He was a real down to earth guy who made everything happen that I had asked. I knew exactly what I wanted, went alone (without my husband), and did not feel taken advantage of at any point, unlike another local Volkswagen dealers who tried. On top of being friendly, Yannick was very knowledgeable! He even delivered my new car since it wasn’t ready the day I made the purchase. I would definitely work with him again! As for the 2021 Atlas, I'm loving it so far!

Never again

I bought a vehicle from them in 2016 and last year decided to lease a vehicle from them. Three months into the lease I had a tire blow out and had the car towed to the dealer through my own insurance because VW roadside said they couldn't come out to help me due to the weather. The service department initially said they would order a replacement tire and have the car fixed the next day. After I never heard from them, I called and was advised there was additional work that needed to be done on the rims and another tire, and they could not give me a date on which I would get my car back because they had to go through the warranty I had purchased. They refused to provide me a loaner or rental vehicle, basically telling me to figure it out while they kept my car for over a week, and I ended up having to pay $1300 out of pocket for a rental vehicle. After asking to speak to a service manager, who never called me back, I spoke to the lease department who asked the GM if they could reimburse me. They advised me they would not reimburse me anything for this cost but said if the car needed to be worked on again to go to the GM about getting a loaner. This was the worst experience I have ever had in all my driving years. I WAS a loyal customer to Larry Miller Lakewood since moving to Colorado, but I will NEVER return to this dealership again. The service department does not care about it's customers at all, and I would never recommend using this dealership to anyone unless you like throwing money away, and being treated like you don't matter.

Manager Lied

Alex Young, used car salesman/manager, represented himself as caring and upfront. We trusted him to give us the full report on a used car we purchased for our niece to drive while attending school. Payed full price, 2 months or so later we have spent $3,000 in repairs-even used Larry H Miller for the most recent repairs. His response: Too bad. It feels horrible to be taken advantage of in this manner:(

Terrible experience

I strongly discourage working with Larry H. Miller Volkswagen. After two months of constant headache I have never regretted a purchase so much. It all started day one when I received a brand new vehicle that was in absolutely terrible external condition after the dealer did a trade with another local dealership they 'trusted'. It was about an hour of arguing why damaged exterior paint and rusted trim for them to agree to make things right. It took two full weeks to find a replacement.. In that period I was chastised by the leadership of the dealership. Finally, I picked up my new vehcile which was untouched, as requested. Without even owning the vehicle for a month/1200 miles, a major mechanical issue sprung up which even though was covered under warranty cost me an additional week with out the vehicle that I am paying for. I reached out to VW care and the GM of the dealership claimed they 'did what was necessary' ... let me add they have taken a full month to even get me the second key for this vehicle. What a horrendous experience. Britton, JC... thank you both for your help in making things 'right' I just wish the experience was a little more streamlined. However, your 'new' management was less than stellar. Scott was rude and made me feel belittled when I was standing up for my case on what WE had agreed upon to be acceptable for the replacement vehicle after the first day I dropped the defective vehicle off. Sorry, Scott, you THOUGHT you knew what I wanted but a BIG part of customer experience/sales is to ensure you LISTEN to the customer. It has been 23 total days where I haven't had my vehicle between getting things swapped and the mechanical issue, so when I requested VW care reach out to the dealership to compensate me a month of payment after all of my struggle... I wasn't surprised they refused. All in all, I will never purchase another Volkswagen. I will never purchase from Larry H. Miller dealership and I hope no one else has any level of experience I did. I will be leaving the Volkswagen brand before the end of 2019 after this. My only positive note is for Britton, my sales consultant, with out him I would have never been in the doors of the dealership. Thank you Britton for all of your hard work.

Never again.

My family has purchased 3 new cars from LHMVW in the last few years. And had them serviced at this location. Ive never been treated so poorly by a service department. Wasted our time and offered no solution (for an issue on a new car we purchased there). Left messages for the GM and never received a return call. No one in my family or anyone I know will do business there again.

Awesome Salesmen

I was helped by Abdul and Liam and they both were very professional in helping me find the car I was looking for. They were great at listening to my needs and asking questions about my preferences and not force a car on me.
