There are no words to describe the level of kindness,

There are no words to describe the level of kindness, professionalism, and assistance I received from Issam and Mari throughout the shopping and purchasing of my new vehicle. I went into Lindsay VW of Dulles to look around and see if purchasing a new car was even an option. I was incredibly pessimistic when arriving, as I am a newly single mother and do not have much wiggle room with my budget. I had an almost unrealistic goal in terms of what I needed in a vehicle and what monthly car payment was manageable for me. Mari began the shopping experience with me upon arrival and, as a mother herself, was able to point out exactly what I was in search of for my son and I. We went on a test drive and she explained all of the safety features for my son and put my heart at ease while I drove my dream SUV around. However, in the back of my mind, I knew this vehicle was going to be unattainable for my son and I as we financially struggle. When we arrived back to the dealership after the test drive, I expressed my love for the vehicle but that I knew it was not going to be "doable". She calmed my nerves by telling me many different options, being incredibly supportive and understanding of my situation throughout. She then introduced me to Issam to discuss finances and to continue calming my nerves. I was literally shaking with fear, as this was the moment in which my dreams were going to be shattered for my son and I. The moment he sat down, introduced himself, and began talking, I felt a sense of comfort and safety. He didn't speak to me in jargon that I was unable to understand, which most finance managers do. He clearly explained every one of my options, asked me questions to get a better understanding of my situation, and gave me his professional opinions on what he thought would work best for me. When I say that I have never experienced a more calming and reassuring experience with car-buying, I cannot begin to explain all the ways this experience was life changing for me. Issam literally moved mountains for my son and I. Issam was able to get me a monthly payment BELOW my comfort line and treated me with an amount of respect that is rarely ever received at a dealership. Everyone knows that car buying is incredibly stressful but this experience was so far from that. From the moment I stepped into Lindsay VW of Dulles to the second I drove away in my dream car, it was such an incredible experience. I have been driving my dream car for a day now and it has literally been life changing. My life has been in absolute shambles lately but Mari and Issam showed me that I CAN be successful as a newly single mom and I CAN give my son the things he deserves. I can not recommend Issam, Mari, or Lindsay VW enough. They gave me so much more than a vehicle. They gave me a newfound hope in people, a much-needed confidence boost, and sense of pride that I can kick this single mom dilemma's butt! Their kindness was and will remain unmatched by all others. Issam and Mari, if you see this: Please know how incredibly grateful I am to you and everything you did for my little family. We are forever in your debt.

My wife and I had decided to trade-in her car for a

My wife and I had decided to trade-in her car for a larger SUV. Alfonso Monteverde was the first to greet us as we walked into Lindsay VW in Dulles. We explained that we were interested to understand more about the Atlas and he was very thorough in explaining the various trim options. Being relatively new in the country it is often difficult to pass very stringent credit terms set by corporate office. He found a way to make it work under VW’s foreign executive lease program and he worked with his finance department to get me approved. Luckily there was an Atlas R-Line that we wanted already on the way and he made sure that it was designated for us. When we picked up the car a few days later, it was already ready to go and he walked through pairing of our phones. We are very happy with our choice, but especially because Alfonso made the whole experience very effortless. He had mentioned that he had being doing this for 17 years and it showed. Bought a certified preowned VW in Mid June from Lindsey

Bought a certified preowned VW in Mid June from Lindsey VW. Battery went bad about 3 weeks later. This dealership won't cover any repairs on it. Look somewhere else where they take care of their customers and don't just cite regulations. Like VW has a history of honesty with the consumer. It’s not about the warranty which is all they keep citing. It’s about treating customers with decency and standing by their product. Which they don’t. Good luck after the sale if you buy from them!

As Andrew explained when you called, the battery tested GOOD on all categories during VW’s rigorous Certification Process. Unfortunately, there’s no way to anticipate battery failures, and there are multiple factors outside of our control that can cause battery damage over even a short period of time. VW’s CPO warranty is one of the most comprehensive in the industry, but even so, does not cover the vehicle’s battery. Please feel free to call or email me with additional questions. VW 2022 ID 4

My issue is with communication - When I first contacted Lindsay in November 2021 I informed them that due to the information I received from Costco that Lindsay was a preferred dealer and would get a discount. I was assigned a sales person. I mentioned to him the Costco membership and was informed that when the vehicle is ordered the discount would apply at time of delivery. 3 DAYS before I was picking up the vehicle I was asked for copy of Costco card along with other information. Sales person contacted me back to let me know that the Costco discount was not being honored and I can cancel since there were other buyers waiting as per his manager. I had already waited 8 months for this vehicle also had to fly from RDU to Sterling Va. I feel that the communication at the company is very poor. I could have bought the vehicle closer to home without the great inconvenience. I feel that information regarding not participating for specific vehicles should have been communicated to me from the inception.

Dealer markups galore

Typical shady dealer business at its best. So money hungry it's kinda funny. The normal MSRP on a brand new mk8 Golf R is $44-46k. They have been hording up all the used mk8 Golf Rs they can get their greedy hands on and are selling them for $65k.... basically a $20k "market" upcharge. I understand the current market, but $20k is RIDICULOUS. They obviously don't care about their loyal customers and just care about their bottom line. Some rich idiots out there will probably still buy these vehicles and unfortunately perpetuate these business practices, but hopefully that doesn't happen.

I don’t see any inquiry I can match up to see if we’ve had the opportunity to speak with you in more detail, so apologies if any of this is repetitive. In short, due to the exceptionally high demand for the redesigned Golf R, we are actively working to acquire them from customers across the country to have options in stock for our customers. I have paid well over MSRP for every one of these cars, plus the additional costs of transportation and processing; we certainly don’t have tens of thousands of markup in the cars! We simply want to have options in stock for customers who would prefer to purchase a very low mileage example with the added warranty that comes with VW’s excellent Certified Pre-Owned program. It is still possible to wait for a new allocation Golf R, and we do not charge any addendum or market adjustment to any new VW; the difficulty is that the wait is roughly a year plus! This dealership is extremely aggressive at pushing

This dealership is extremely aggressive at pushing customers to their financing instrument, even if you've already secured financing through your bank, like we had. They will create (artificial) roadblocks to try to get you to change your financing plan to theirs. For example, I was told that bank financing in the name of 2 people (primary and cosigner, ala child + parent) necessitates that the buyers paperwork, title and registration MUST be the same--in both names. FALSE and confirmed by my bank plus another VW dealer completed a deal 48 hrs later the way I requested. Ms. Dimitrova was absolutely certain this was the case given "her years of experience" and spoke forcefully and expertly about it--but she was wrong. Trust, but verify. Second, she quoted that the cashier’s check that would be coming from my bank would need to "be held for approx. 5-10 days" to allow it to clear --A CASHIERS CHECK !! -- and that we could not take delivery of a vehicle until it had cleared. 4 Pinocchios! Bank said they had never heard of such a policy from any other dealer, plus the other VW dealership handed over keys immediately when presented with the cashier’s check. Finally, they refuse to allow buyers using their own bank financing to take possession of a vehicle before the cashier’s check "clears" (via promissory note or short-term contract) because of a "Tesla fraud incident" that everyone in the dealership seems to know about. Again, the other VW dealership offered a bridge contract with no issue. Perhaps that is prudent on their part, but this review is about the customer experience, and their policy is NOT customer friendly. Of course, all of these issues could have been immediately avoided by using their financing instrument--and we could take the car off the lot THAT DAY. Finally, they claim their $500 "recent graduate" discount is only available to those who...wait for it...are using their financing. And, it requires those wishing to use that discount to provide a copy of the student's final transcript to qualify--guess how fun it is to ask your recent grad to acquire that while sitting at the closing table. It's not, we tried. At one point I thought: OK, I’ll play ball--let's look into their financing to make this go smoothly. When asked if they could beat my bank's 2.74% financing rate, they said--"let's fill out the paperwork and see." No, thank you. I’ll stick with my financial institution which has worked with me for more than 30 years. Happy ending…Same exact car secured elsewhere for much less money (selling price and bottom line), less hassle and fewer roadblocks. Oh, and we had leased then purchased a car from Lindsay previously--so much for being a repeat customer. If you are happy with their financing options and rates, perhaps you will have a much different experience. For those with financing secured, I wish you the best of luck at Lindsay VW—you will need it.

Mr. Wilson, My sincerest apologies for your experience while attempting to purchase your vehicle with us. While other dealerships may be anxious to offer ‘bridge’ contracts, unfortunately due to a few recent incidents, the Lindsay company does not. I understand your frustration, and though this policy protects the dealership as well as the customer, we understand that in some cases it may be a non-starter for some customers. We do offer financing through our preferred lenders, which through our agreements with these lenders we see as ‘money in hand,’ thus allowing the release of the vehicle. Of course, we understand that this method does not work for all customers, and we will try through consistent communication with the customers to verify clearance of funds so that the vehicle can be released as quickly as possible. Regarding the rebate for an eligible recent college graduate, my apologies that it was not communicated to you that it is a Volkswagen-specific rebate that requires financing strictly through Volkswagen Credit, and not through any financing method. I would be frustrated as well had this not been explained properly to me, which is why we offered the same dollar amount off of the price of the vehicle to stay in line with what you thought would be the total dollar amount of the transaction. I will work with my team to ensure the parameters of this and all other rebates offered by the manufacturer are properly communicated. Most of all, despite your experience it was a pleasure to meet you and I am glad to hear that you were able to purchase a vehicle for your daughter, and that all went well.
