We stopped in and spoke with Mark he was very helpful by him helping we saved $$$ on our car loan that's not even through them we have about 2 weeks To go we are going back to purchase a truck from them. Thanks Mark for all your help

Sold us a car that in 3 months needs thousands of dollars

Sold us a car that in 3 months needs thousands of dollars worth of work. The current price of repairs are half of what we paid for the vehicle and have the real potential of going up in price. I should have known better when the Gentleman that sold it to us commented about if they had any guarantee of their product they wouldn't make any money. I guess that meant that the cars they sell are lemons and everyone would return them. RED FLAG. I know I am responsible but when you are desperate because you have your elderly parents you need to get to a bi-weekly infusion, you tend to wrongly put your trust in people. Stupid me. I saw a response from May Motors to someone else with a similar experience. May said this wasn't common but apparently it is. The staff seemed like nice people but I would not recommend them to anyone. Caveat emptor.

I really hate that you have been having problems with your car. I went back through July of last year and can not find anyone buying a Honda with your name and I have not been contacted by anyone to let me know of a problem so that we could offer some help. We do have extended warranties on $6000 cars and we try to make sure everything is good when we sell them but it is hard on that price range to give warranties when new Hondas only have 3 year 36000 mile warranty. You are welcome to contact us so that maybe we can find a way to help we always will try to make things better, we have regular shops that we use and unfortunately some shops come up with some things that may not really be needed right then, Thanks, Mike May

Our experience with Mark Rankin at May Motors in...

Our experience with Mark Rankin at May Motors in Springfield was friendly...fair [in our estimation]...professional...hassle free...very customer friendly...May offered us what we expected our trade-in vehicle was worth [while another well-known dealership in this area offered $2600 less]...my wife and I were allowed to drive the car we eventually purchased by ourselves...without a salesman there to make comments about our discussion or any faults we might have found...we also purchased an extended warranty on the vehicle we purchased...it was offered to us as a "it's available if you think you might want it or if you're not interested... that's OK too." May made arrangements for us to return the vehicle on a day when a window repairman was there to fill in a chip in the window...they also got us a 2nd key for the car without charge. We recommend you drop by May Motors in Springfield to look over their products and make a friend in Mark Rankin.
