Thank you Leno and Carboard!

We purchased a 2016 Volvo V60xc with 96k miles on it back in late June of this year. I gotta say, I was a bit nervous buying a used car from a small dealership but Leno and his team were immediately friendly and accommodating. We were looking for this specific model and year of Volvo and felt comfortable with the mileage as this was a local one owner car. Leno provided us with a CarFax report and gave us opportunity to do two test drives. We were already approved for financing with our own bank but we decided to let Leno shop financing and sure enough he beat our bank’s rate by almost a full percentage point with another well known local credit union. The buying experience was super easy and relaxing. We took the car home on a Saturday and all was well for the short drive home. Sunday we took a drive that was our first real test of the car. Much longer than our two test drives that only included a short stretch of freeway from the dealership up one exit to Wadsworth and back. To our horror after a bit of freeway driving we noticed a strange vibration that wasn’t present on the test drives. When we got home I emailed Leno and informed him of the issue. He responded quickly on Monday and asked me to bring the car to their repair shop to have it looked at. I did some research in the meantime and discovered that it was likely a failed U-joint on the driveshaft which only became obvious as the vehicle heated up on a longer drive. My local Volvo mechanic also suggested that as the cause. Sure enough Leon’s technician verified that it was in fact a failed driveshaft. After the diagnosis and to my absolute delight, Leno called to say that he and the owner of the dealership would like to replace the driveshaft at no cost to us. Literally a day and a half later the car was back in our hands driving as good as new. We’re now over a month into owning this car with absolutely no issues since the driveshaft repair. I can’t thank Leno enough. Buying any used car comes with risk, but thanks to Leno and the Carboard team we had a fantastic experience. Thanks again Carboard!

Hard pass

TL; DR: Steer clear of this dealer and go somewhere legit!! Went here looking for a specific vehicle I saw online, and fortunately I had read other reviews of Carboard first so I was prepared to thoroughly check everything over. As it turned out, I didn't even need to be thorough. My first impression of the place told me it's super shady, and it only went downhill from there. Right away, when Leno attempted to start the vehicle... he had to jump start it. He made excuse that it's been cold and not started for a while... so I let him go ahead and jump it while I kept other reviews in the back of my mind that mentioned their car having been sold with a dead battery. Leno told me if the battery was dead, they'd replace it because they don't want to sell a bad car. So I asked if they have an on-site mechanic, and he said no, the owner's son 8 blocks away does it. I said "well then you must have the vehicle inspection report he did, and any repairs he recommended." No, they don't get that information. Hmm. I remembered another review that the owner responded to saying that if the person told them which car it was, they would find out who worked on it... clearly he already knew. Big whiff of BS. When the car finally started, a "Change Oil Soon" message popped up on the display. So I immediately checked the oil, and it clearly hadn't been changed for a while. The coolant and other fluids were low too. I chuckled and began to check over the rest of the vehicle. Rear door lock wouldn't open, power locking mechanism was busted. I hopped in the car and lightly revved the engine only to hear an unhealthy gurgling noise each time.... air in the coolant system, or blown head gasket? At that point I decided I didn't care to find out. I went inside and told them that yes, the vehicle looked nice, BUT... and listed all the problems that were apparent in less than 5 minutes, without even a mechanic inspection. Leno told me they'd fix all of it, they don't want to sell a bad car. I said how about you fix all of it, then let me know... and after I walked away, I went to a reputable dealership.

This was the least stressful experience I have ever had

This was the least stressful experience I have ever had with any car dealership. I felt completely at ease and trusted both of the associates that helped me entirely! (Noel and Jillian). Jillian got me such a great deal on a car that I feel is very safe and reliable and honestly, my dream car. 5 stars all around for me!!!!!

A Suprisingly Great Place To Buy A Used Car!

I did a lot of research before visiting Carboard and I ended up purchasing a 2006 Toyota Highlander from them. Leno went the extra mile to get me the lowest APR rate possible and it was low! He really made the effort to do so. There was no "shady sales pressure" to buy like the big dealerships. On the way home the check engine light came on. I let Leno know and he told me to bring it to their service department which is only a few blocks from their lot. It was diagnosed as a faulty catalytic converter and he had it repaired at no cost! He also offers discounts if you use their shop for future repairs. I read some reviews that say they are in a bad part of town. Very untrue. It's on Colfax in an older section of The Denver Metro area but nothing unsafe about it all. I would be comfortable bringing my grandkids there. If you are looking for a great place to buy a used vehicle I highly recommend paying them a visit. Give them a chance, you will not be disappointed!

sold me a lemon

I purchased a car for my 17 year old daughter here. This car has had major issues since I drove it off the lot. The transmission was shot. I'm sure they knew it based on the fact that it started acting up about 60 miles after we drove it off the lot. I would not trust a car from hits lot without having a mechanic you trust look at it first. Not to mention there was about two week of fast food stuck under the Thors row seats in the back that was rotted! The smell didn't come out even after we have had the car detailed three times! I feel taken advantage of!

overall okay

I went to look at the 2010 F150 Harley Edition. When I got to the dealership, there was no place to park. When I was greeted, I was taken to the truck and immediately noticed problems with it. The driver’s side folding running board was down and the truck was not on and door not open. When the passenger side door was open, the running board did not fold down. When the truck was started, the low tire pressure warning light was on and the the change oil light was on as well. I was asked three times if I wanted to test drive it. The first time I replied, we will see. The second time I said no and the the third time I said no because I did not want to be held responsible for damages to the running board if it occurred. I told the sales person that I was not going to buy the truck if fixed could not be made. Not really disappointed in my visit but not a good visit as well. I do not recommend this place. Parking lot over crowded and staff was okay.
