Misleading & Dishonest – Beware of Finance Tactics I typically trust Toyota dealerships, but my experience with Toyota of Melbourne has completely changed my perspective. A 67-year-old woman, my employee, went in for a straightforward lease refinance, only to be pressured into paying nearly $4,000 in extra fees that she was falsely told were required. She was misled into purchasing an extended warranty ($2,800) and GAP insurance ($1,000) under the false claim that these were legally necessary to finalize her loan. This is completely untrue, and when questioned, the dealership refused to correct the issue or issue a refund. A dealership that misleads its customers and refuses to take accountability does not deserve your business. I have already filed formal complaints with the Florida Attorney General, the FTC, and other consumer protection agencies regarding Toyota of Melbourne’s deceptive practices. If you are considering purchasing or financing a vehicle here, read every document carefully and be prepared for high-pressure sales tactics. There are plenty of honest dealerships that value their customers. Toyota of Melbourne is not one of them.

If your a woman or elderly person, do not go to Toyota of

If your a woman or elderly person, do not go to Toyota of Melbourne. They will stick it to you. I have never seen such a dishonest, greedy and flat out illegal transaction in my life from a new car dealer. I would expect this kind of dishonesty from a used car dealer, but not a new car dealer like Toyota. We have purchased 7 different cars between myself and my employees. One of our girls went to Toyota of Melbourne to do an end of Lease refinance. Marilena is 67 years old, does not speak good English and she went there by herself. They loaded her up with a $2800 extended warranty contract and $1000 gap policy. She did not buy those when she went there to buy the car, but since Toyota makes no money on end of Lease deals, they took advantage and conditioned her loan based on the extras they screwed her with. I went to Toyota and spoke the Finance manager and he told me that it is policy (The Law) that the car needed to have an extended warranty to be refinanced. This is total xx and Illegal. I plan on getting the State Attorney General involved since this is a woman, Older lady and did not speak English and the contract was written in nothing buy English when Spanish copies are available. Do yourself a favor and avoid Toyota of Melbourne. I will never allow any of my people to buy from there again.

Mike helped me get out of a terrible situation with my

Mike helped me get out of a terrible situation with my Mercedes. I was a LOT of money upside down in the Mercedes. He got me into a brand new, safer, more reliable Toyota and I couldn’t have asked for a better person to help me! So informative, and the best part, we did this from separate states. He drove 900 miles to bring me my new ride! Just all around awesome person. I’d do 1000 stars if I could.

This place is AWESOME!

This place is AWESOME! I bought my car from another state and moved back to Florida. I have taken my car here for service. This dealership has taken care of me as if I had bought the car there and am looking to buy another. If I was going to buy another car, I would buy it here just based on the service dept. Nathan Huff has been excellent as my service advisor. Terry Bruno, his manager has been exceptionally understanding (In case you are wondering why the manager was involved, it had nothing to do about Nathan, service, or the dealership). I found out about this dealership when Mike Erdman Toyota, which is closer to me, tried to rip me off. Do NOT ever go to Mike Erdman Toyota.

Mike Durkin sold me my first new car.

Mike Durkin sold me my first new car. It is a Nissan Frontier Desert Runner. I originally wanted a different vehicle but it was sold an hour before I arrived. Mike took in what I wanted from a vehicle and my price range and help me get a great deal. He worked on the price to fit it within my range and I couldn’t be happier. He took the time to make me feel welcomed and I didn’t feel pressured at all. If I ever need a new vehicle, I’d definitely talk to Mike first. Thanks for a great experience.

I just had a great experience at Toyota of Melbourne! My sales representative Mick Fields was fantastic, he was very easy to work with, friendly and not overbearing. He worked hard to get me exactly what I was looking for. The whole team from Mick, the finance team and the front office were excellent! This was our third vehicle we have purchased from Toyota of Melbourne and have always had a great experience!
