Best car buying experience
From the minute I called Travis about a used car on Kuhn's lot he was professional, calm and friendly. Upon arriving at the dealership 30 minutes later at 4.30pm on a Sunday, Travis was totally prepared- had a list of all the vehicles for sale in my range, including mileage and price. All of them good quality cars and some certified. He thoroughly went through each vehicle and did not rush me at all. As a woman buyer I did not feel intimidated, pressured or ripped off. Travis made the car buying experience such a good one, he was so professional. He even texted me on his day off to arrange the final paperwork and had his also fantastic colleague, Tom , ready with it all when I got there. Would definitely buy from here again.

Short version: Fast, efficient, friendly, caring, and outstanding people to work with. From start to finish, I was presented with solutions without being pushy. They addressed my questions honestly with full transparency. I could not be more impressed with the attention to detail and flexibility in communication throughout the experience. Long version: I make it a point to post reviews for those that deserve it, so read on! Pre-Purchase Experience - I reached out to Kuhn Volkswagen via e-mail looking for help in securing a 2021 Arteon SEL Premium R Line model. Tom was quick to respond to my request, and was flexible in communicating with me via e-mail and text due to my erratic work day. He introduced himself and the team around him well, and helped me navigate the dealer trade process with full transparency. Not once did he push me to come in immediately to do any of the back and forth, and like I mentioned before was very accommodating in making sure I had all the answers I asked of him prior to coming in person. He took my credit app remotely, via their website, took my insurance info and drivers license info remote as well so my time was not wasted at the dealer. It is refreshing to have people behind a dealer to be understanding during the pandemic, and have the willingness to go above and beyond. He provided great pointers on their Kuhn Advantage in house offerings, from offering protective coatings to road side assistance and introduced me to his sales manager from the get go, who got involved early on in the process over the phone, text and e-mail. Rock solid customer service, it is challenging to find a human element in a sales process, so again, refreshing to have honest people representing the brand and the Kuhn name. Purchasing Experience - Excited with the value prop and the people involved, I committed to a sit down and iron out the paperwork and final negotiations. Negotiations don't always have to be a stressful event, and this is where Tom, Al and their team excelled and I got to meet the full team. Consider making an appointment on a day they are typically slower. As with any open door retail environment, the experience will be more chaotic on a busy day, and this will impact your overall perception which I feel is unfair to the people making their living. Be cool and understanding, we are all going through stuff! Anyway, they were fully transparent on the offering, on where they could budge and could not budge, and at the end of the day finalized on a transaction that we could all agree on. I do always encourage people to do their research and come prepared, but I can adamantly say these souls absolutely earn their keep. At no point was I pressured into anything, and I recommend having an open mind to any and all options presented. They offer and provide solutions, and at the end of the day, it is up to you to decide what benefits you, your pain points when owning a car, and what you don't see value in. Kudos to their willingness to educate while pulling back the curtains. After the agreement was made, Tom got on the ball to go pick up the vehicle they traded for from the Sarasota location, so all I had to do was go home and not worry about pick up myself. I went and signed the paperwork with the finance manager Alex, who was great in explaining the added service options. I always opt in the Tire Hazard service, so I recommend that as a minimum. I have used it in the past, and it is a painless process. If you can't afford it out of pocket, the peace of mind is worth it, so consider the options. Many will tell you its a waste of money, but the bias leans hard based on risk self assessment. I prefer peace of mind myself. Tommie offered to bring the car straight to my apartment, but I told him I would meet him back at the dealership, because I was so excited! They topped of my gas, detailed it inside and out and got me going after Tommie gave me one more good detailed overview of the car and features.
Austin provided excellent service in getting me into a new lease. He was very professional, provided excellent communication and the process was seamless. Will highly recommend to anyone looking to purchase/lease a VW.
Sold my car to someone else after I paid for it!
Christina Flores, and she won't tell me when this other person paid for the car or how it was even possible that this car was sold twice. She did say that this has happened before but clearly they do not have a system set up to prevent this. They did nothing for me in terms of finding me a replacement vehicle and I'm still searching for a car. In addition, I had to call back a few days later because they still had not refunded my money. I left a message for the owner to make him aware of the situation and he did not return my call, which leads me to believe this dealership does not care about their customers or how they are treated at all.
Horrible service advisor
The service advisor was ignorant, rude and condescending. Made an appt at 7:00 am for an oil change and tire rotation. Arrived and told me I didn’t have an appointment. Had to show him the confirmation email which seemed to bother him. Then was told it would be 2 hours or so since it was 7:05 and the service techs hadn’t arrived yet. Then told me that there were weekend drop offs that would be in front of me even though they did t have appointments. When I told him I had to work he response me that he could Cancel the appt for me. As I walked out he made sure he said “ hope you get to where yo need to be”. Had to turn around and tell him it’s called “work”. The smugness of the guy ruined my VW ownership. My Tiguan with 6,000 miles is now for sale as I will never go back to the dealership I bought the car from.
Jack did a great job from the test drive through purchase and follow up. I highly recommend Kuhn dealership and Jack as a sales rep!
I went to Kuhn due to a recall on my Volkswagen. Timothy Heil did an excellent job repairing the defect. In fact, he even went above and beyond mentioning and recommending other areas in my vehicle that needed improvements.
Honored the advertised price, no hidden fees, no games, reasonable price for extended warranty. Salesperson was responsive, cooperative. Reasonable APR rates. A very professional experience.
TimHeil is one of the nicest people I have had the pleasure of dealing regarding the repair of my VW CC, He was so nice and professional and truly cared about the well being of my vehicle being fixed right, I truly believe that good people in this day and age are hard to find, but Kuhn you lucked out with Tim, I am very grateful for all his help.
