Bad Deal
I had a Bad experience with Serra Toyota. I purchase a a new Toyota Camry 2023. And I got played out of my 2020. Toyota Camry and they lied to me. And it's a lease car which I don't want a lease car I will never purchase a car. From Serra Toyota again. And I keep calling they will not answer my calls or text me back. They played me real Bad

Horrible buying experience.
In September of 2022 I went to Serra in Birmingham to buy a Toyota Corolla Hatch. I placed an order for a 2022 Corolla Hatch SE with factory leather and OEM wing. I get the paper work situated and work put the deposit down. A month goes by and I don’t hear anything. So I reached out and asked about the car. The salesman said they were just waiting on the order. I go to Toyota.com and notice that the 2022 are no longer available. I call the salesman and inform him of this. He then tells me “Oh yeah I guess you should spec out a 2023.” So I spec one out but in 2023 the color I had chosen is no longer available. I choose a new color and send the specs to the dealer. Another month goes by and I still hear nothing. I reach out again and he gives me the vin. The car shows up in November. I go to pick it up and it doesn’t have the OEM wing or the Leather interior ($1600 add on option btw). I ask about the leather and he apologizes and says Toyota no longer provides leather for the SE model and they have to get it locally done. He said I could choose the color and style. So I chose the color and gave it to him. I then ask about the wing and he looks lost. I show him the spec sheet and he goes to the back to talk to the manager. He comes back and says he was sorry and they would have to order one and currently they don’t know a receive date as it’s back ordered. I sign the paper work and they throw so many mark ups on a SE model (base reminder with no leather like I asked or wing) that the price from MSRP has no gone up almost $12,000. I get the keys and go with the salesman to the car. He’s supposed to show you how everything works. Well he doesn’t even know. I told him I would figure it out and left. A month goes by and they finally get me set up for the leather install. He then says the installer couldn’t get the color I wanted and it would have to be black. I drop the car off it takes 4 days longer than they said and the leather looks worse then factory leather on the XSE or SE models from 2022. 5 months have now gone by and I finally got the call that my wing had arrived. I dropped it off this past Wednesday and picked it up yesterday to find the installer didn’t follow the template that comes with the wing from Toyota and it’s installed incorrectly. Remind this requires drilling so if moved there will be extra holes in the trunk. This is an OEM part being installed at a Toyota Dealer and they can’t even do that correctly. I’ve reached out to the assistant service manager and I’m waiting on a response. This entire experience with this dealer has been one bad thing after the next. I wish there was another Toyota Dealer closer to me as for next time I guess I will make the haul to Hoover or Gadsden. The quality, information, and knowledge for a place that’s suppose to specialize in toyota had lacked and the fact that the customer has to spot, find, fix, and direct them to the issues has shown that they are there just for a paycheck and lacking in training.
