Called this dealership, today, to purchase a vehicle.

Called this dealership, today, to purchase a vehicle. During the initial phone call, I stated I wanted to purchase a vehicle I saw on their website & inquired about having it delivered (I live almost 6 hours away). The man who answered, DeSantis, immediately took on an annoyed tone & said he wasn’t interested. Completely taken off guard - I laughed. I guess he stopped to think about his response & asked how we would pay. His next question was if our bank makes wire transfers. He then went full aggressive. Like weirdest escalation I’ve ever experienced & completely out of nowhere. I have purchased many vehicles just this exact way and I’m not entirely sure if this guy was just a really lazy salesman or an angry one. I do know he clearly doesn’t need business and I would’ve been the easiest sell he made today. If he doesn’t deliver, he could’ve easily said that and I would’ve been on my way. Instead - I’ll make that purchase elsewhere (I’m actually waiting on the digital paperwork now) & take 3 minutes to let everyone else know to save their time - this dealership clearly isn’t in the business of selling cars.

It was fine until we got to financing and had to deal

It was fine until we got to financing and had to deal with this massive moron named Kent and kept trying to scare us into buying a warranty that covered everything that the manufacturer warranty already covered. That man has treated other friends and family members the same and is totally unacceptable. I have purchased my last 5 cars from here and will not be purchasing another from them I hope this deter others from purchasing from them as well!

I was looking for a 2024 white 4Runner.

I was looking for a 2024 white 4Runner. I found one at Tuscaloosa Toyota. I filled out form and immediately was contacted by David DeSantis, General Manager. He put me in contact with Michael Baltins. I was working with Michael from out of state. He was prompt in answering any questions or concerns I had. After purchasing the vehicle Michael and David both reached out to me to let me know they appreciated my business and if I had any questions. That is something that I have never had happen in purchasing a vehicle. Michael Baltins and the staff were very courteous and professional in dealing with. Michael was very knowledgeable about the vehicle and took time in familiarizing me with the features. Thank you Michael and Tuscaloosa Toyota for a great experience.

Buying a vehicle

Husband had an appointment today to look at an F250. He called them this morning wanting to come test drive the truck and if he likes it had already been approved for the loan by our personal bank. They make him an appt to come drive the truck at 4pm. He arrives only to be told that the truck has been sold. Very unprofessional and non courteous to call him back and say “hey man, I’m sorry but the truck sold is there anything else you would like to look at so we are not wasting your time”. He did not just drive from a few miles away he was at least 30 to 45 min away from the dealer. Not to mention wasted gas. Needless to say we will not ever use them!

Buying a vehicle

Did not check wiper blades

I was a little disappointed when I took my 2003 Highlander in for its yearly “physical”. I expect everything to be checked on the car including the windshield wiper blades. The blades were not checked, and in return, I had my car washed locally a few days later and the guy turned on my back windshield wiper and it scraped my back windshield. I am very disappointed this time in Tuscaloosa Toyota for not checking my car thoroughly. I am usually very satisfied.

Great experience working with Taylor Phaturos and Shawn

Great experience working with Taylor Phaturos and Shawn Simpson. They did what they said they were going to do and I felt taken care of. It was easy to tell they took their jobs of customer service seriously. There were a couple of times during the process where additional information was needed and they followed up like they said they would. Couldn’t be happier with the experience. If you need a vehicle, go see these guys! Financing was great working with Teresa.

The Service Department Destroyed My Lexus LS 460

I had the worst experience servicing my Lexus, just for an Oil change with my darn near 99% mechanically sound Lexus LS 460 L. I took it to the Dealer Mechanic in Montgomery, there were no issues at all. So I purchased it. I took to it to Tuscaloosa Toyota, and they reported the same, that it was outstanding and that the only issue was that the Brake Fluid needed Flushing. Now I don't know what they did, as though they are trying to Drum up new business, I smell smoke coming through the vents, and it smokes when I travel now just 20 miles from home to work. I want to start a Lawsuit against them for destroying a good vehicle to drum up business. The Service manager came to look at it, and immediately he expressed contempt prior to the investigation. He acted as though I was crazy, his last statement was that he would take the entire engine apart while I watched, to resolve the issue. I wouldn't let him or anyone in this dealership near my Grandson's tricycle. My Vehicle prior to the oil change with them, would drive from Hoover to Montgomery then to Atlanta, and back on the same day, with no incident. Now I may have to have Major work done, just because I trusted Tuscaloosa Toyota with an oil change.

Very poor service, carvana said my truck was worth almost

Very poor service, carvana said my truck was worth almost 10,000 more than what they offered and they wouldn’t budge, they never really tried helping me find a vehicle, plus the gentleman who test drove my truck and offered a price, was very unprofessional, not to mention he rolled his eyes at me a few times. He mostly acted like he didn’t have the time of day to talk to me.. They never called me when they got inventory in or anything. I tried working with them for 2 weeks.. The gentleman that was in financing, was just as rude, and also rolled his eyes at me.. Brung my father in the next day and everyone’s attitude changed. ended up getting a Ford Mustang 5.0 from Tuscaloosa Ford, tested it in one day and left the lot within 2 hours with a nice brand new car .. so thanks Tuscaloosa Toyota for not wanting my business I won’t be back..

Our Toyota Highlander stopped working while traveling

Our Toyota Highlander stopped working while traveling through Tuscaloosa. We found the service department to be extremely friendly and helpful. They jumped right in to try to fix our car since we were out-of-town travelers.
