Went to the VW dealer to look at a 2014 Ford Edge. Took the car for a test drive and immediately heard a grinding noise. Went right back in to talk to the salesman and told him the problem. The salesman went and got a service tech report and showed me that it had a left rear wheel hub making some noise. Salesman said that if I purchased the car right now they would fix it. I politely him NO, that you fix it and I will come back and test drive again. He told me that a mechanic had a friend interested in this car. If I wanted it, I would have to purchase in now. And he would have it serviced. Needless to say I declined his offer. He said he would call me by 5:00 that evening. Never got a call. Icalled back the next day to see if they were fixing the car. Salesman told me, no they were not fixing it. That someone else was interested in it and he would see if they would take it as is. Why would a dealer not fix a bad wheel hub? I don't think they care about the safety of their customers. Just care about the money. To bad it sounds like a really bad way to do business. Don't walk away. RUN. Wouldn't buy a bicycle from this dealer.

Huge waste of our time, joke of a dealership. Went in and test drive and wanted to purchase a 2021 GMC Acadia. We were talking about trading in a vehicle, they were not giving us nearly what Carvana offered so we told them we would write a check for half of the cost of the Acadia and finance the rest. Then they proceeded to tell us they can’t take a dime down on the vehicle, our only option is to finance 100% of the vehicle. Also the 0% 2021 GMC Acadia financing that they were advertising on their website, still are, somehow they are not offering. Also the supplier discount that we should get is also not being offered. HUGE waste of time on our part, if they were only offering 100% vehicle financing and refusing any cash down they should present that to buyers before wasting HOURS of their time. And the funny thing is we were going to talk to them about leasing a new truck as well, guess they don’t want our money.

July 26, 2021 Great experience working with Matthew Ovens. Great communication, answered all my questions, zero pressure sales person, everything went smoothly. Matt explained all the features of my new Compass and he was awesome too!

*** Buyer Beware *** Made an offer a little over a week ago at $1200 under list price and was told they wanted the list price. Came back a week later and made another offer at $850 below list price in the morning and was told that they still needed the list price. Called at 1:55 pm and left a voicemail saying we would take the vehicle at list price. Never heard back even though the salesman was supposedly really busy and there until 8:30 pm that evening (giving him 6 hours to get the voicemail). I contacted him again in the morning and he told me the vehicle was still available and wanted to know when I wanted to come look at it. So I started working on getting financing and insurance squared around because it's a 2.5 hour drive for me. Salesman sent me a link to the website for the VIN number and when I opened up the link, the list price had jumped up by $2000 on me because the “sale” was over and they tried to sneak it past me. I contacted him back and asked if we were still locked in at the original price and he said he would have to talk with the manager. Came back a little later and said the price is the new list price. Even though I called yesterday when the “sale” was still going and offered the original list price. I reached out to the owner and his response was to rub it in my face that they sold it for $4,000 over the original list price. If you read other comments, you’ll find that I’m not the first customer to experience this. Just glad I saw the price change before driving 2.5 hours down there. Shady business practices and it comes from the top down. Feel free to contact me as I have all of the conversations documented and I'm open to share them.

My experience with this dealer was great. Having recently moved in this area I felt a bit apprehensive about looking for car maintenance and repair. I was very satisfied with the way I was greeted and treated by each employee. I was impressed by the communication about my concerns with my vehicle and the timeliness of the service. The shuttle service was so convenient. Than you all

I knew exactly what i wanted when i walked in. They had a car that i had previously test driven, but did not like the sales person at the other dealership. I had kept my eye on it through cargurus, and as soon as it arrived at this lot I went in and told them i would like to purchase it. Nick was the person i worked with and he was great! He is amazing at reading his customers and made the sale so easy. I didn't feel that fake, schmoozy personality that sales people typically have, and i like that a lot. Nick went above and beyond by making sure i had the other key for the car i purchased and for that one action, i will return to him until i die or quit buying cars, whichever happens first. Thank you, Nick for all your help and excellent service skills!

used car purchase

We had a great, no pressure experience with our salesman Matt Ovens. We had called ahead wanting to test drive a vehicle. He was busy with another customer upon our arrival, but welcomed us by having the car running and ready for us to test drive it. Matt was very easy to talk with, answered all of our question though the whole process.

Dealer response

Bad timing - still good service

I probably just had an odd experience timing-wise with the team at Volvo Perrysburg, but it was a little frustrating so I figured I'd share... I just bought a 2016 XC90, used, from another dealership in the area. This is my 4th Volvo. The check engine light came on shortly after I purchased so they warrantied it and setup an appointment at Volvo to get it looked at for me. This other dealership handled the drop and pickup of my car at Volvo. They had the appointment setup and I was alerted via an automated email from Volvo. A few days passed after the drop and I hadn't heard anything so I called Volvo directly. Turns out the car had been left sitting in the parking lot because no one checked it in properly. When I called at that point I spoke to someone who probably wasn't a Volvo specialist because the conversation left me feeling a little unsure if I should even leave the car there for the check engine light diagnosis or not. In the end... it all worked out, but it took over a week to get the car back at that point since it got bumped back in the que. I was happy they were able to diagnose the check engine light and service the vehicle properly, but I will be a little hesitant to take the vehicle back. I would hope if I choose to use Volvo Perrysburg for future maintenance it will go more smoothly. The phone interaction I had with the main Volvo specialist was great - I was just disappointed no one had contacted me when the appointment appeared to be a no-show but yet the car was actually sitting there the whole time

They must have too much money and do not need to sell cars. Stopped in twice, told them what we wanted. (When someone finally talked to us) Test drove a minivan but was late the first time so we said we would be back. Went back, other car would not start. Their attitude was oh well. Nobody asked, but we had cash. Went there to buy , go figure. Like I said, they must have enough money.
