We are retired and on fixed income we looked around for months. Thought we finally found good vehicle put good chunk of or savings down $3000 . Drove
less then 2 weeks and timing went. We bought they extra coverage wouldn't even cover checking check engine light, they waived fee. We bought truck for $13000 put $3000 down and broke in under 2 weeks something major took to them won't cover it cause sold as is. We talked awhile agreed on 50 percent witch was $850 signed work order sent me home with rental called me few hours later told me bring rental back asap they won't touch it cause of bad review we spent our hard earned savings on this lemon they won't touch cause of bad review We haven't even made first payment on and they are not getting any more of my friends or family's business because of way they treat the elderly
Unfortunately, there are times when we sell a vehicle that you cannot see an issue coming no matter how thorough the inspection process. Particularly
when the vehicle is 14-years-old with 170,000 miles on it such as in this situation. Regrettably, in this circumstance, you did not purchase extended coverage, you signed a document stating the vehicle was sold 100% AS-IS. We were very disappointed when you came in so soon after purchase with an issue, however we checked it out at no charge and upon hearing of the timing issue, we informed then you that though you purchased the car completely AS-IS for $8900 (not $13,000) we would offer you the coverage we offer on other non AS-IS vehicles. That warranty is a 50/50 parts and labor coverage. Not only would we cover half of a repair we legally had no obligation to cover we would also give you a brand-new car to drive for a week while we made the repair. This is not an offer many dealers would make and an offer most customers would be content with. Nonetheless, there is certainly no easy way to deal with a situation like this. We try to be as understanding and as accommodating as possible while still running a business. I am truly sorry your purchase wasn¿¿¿t what you needed it to be.
