Great to deal with

I looked up the value of my 2004 Toyota Tacoma P/U on KBB.com and saw a tab for instant quotes. Christian Turvey, from Jeff Wyler Honda on Colerain, called me immediately and we set an appointment. He and I agreed on a price for my Tacoma P/U. Christian is a true gentleman, No pressure, friendly, fair and HONEST !!!! I picked up my check from the dealership the next day. When I got home, I found that the check was for $300.00 more than the agreed upon price. I called the dealership after hours, and was told "Corporate" was closed. I called back the next day at 1:30 P.M. and talked to Justin Sanders. I explained the over-payment. Justin said he would check and call me back shortly. When he called, I was told that there had been an error on their end and I was to "cash the check". I recommend anyone buying an automobile, to consider Jeff Wyler on Colerain!!! They were a pleasure to deal with!!!!

VERY PUSHY AND SCAMMERS

Didn't have a good experience, what so ever. First was told by a salesman, named Joe, that the vehicle I was interested in, was available. So I packed up my family and started to drive, from the Dayton area, to the car lot, which is an hour from me. Got halfway there and he called to tell me, that they sent the car to be detailed, that the car will be here in the morning and he'd call us. Why post a car on your site if you had to put work into it? Morning came, no call. We called him and he said he was at the office and said he'll have to check, and then call us back. Hour later, no call. Called him back and he had an attitude and said he hasn't heard anything but it'll be ready today. So I went ahead and packed my family up and drove out there. By the time we got to the area, 2 hours have gone by since we heard from Joe. Called Joe and he was shocked we came. But why when you said it'll be done today? He said to be honest with you, I'm off today. So he lied when he said he was at the car lot. He said he was going to call and check then he'll call back. This time he called back and said sorry, won't be done til Friday. It was Wednesday. He completely lied. I dont even think he called the first time, he said he did. Went home and the next day, I called the car lot, not Joe, to make sure it wasn't there. Found out, it was there. Called Joe and he said he wasn't working today. We drove to the car lot and who do we see? Joe! Lied again. The vehicle we wanted, I test drove and they was supposed to look at my vehicle for a trade-in. I know they didn't look at it because my GF stayed at the car lot with my toddler and they never took my car to be looked at. When it came to numbers, they only wanted to offer me $1200 for a vehicle that was quoted on KBB.Com for $3500. Tried to say it needed $2K in work like tired and brakes. How would they know when no one looked at it. Also, jokes on them, the brake pads, rotors, and tires was just replaced. They were still good. Tried to scam us. They finally went up on the vehicle but not by much. Wasn't willing to work with us. The manager even admitted that they were basically going to get rid of the vehicle. If you're getting rid of it, then why put money into it? Another lie but from a different employee. Since they didn't want to work with us, we left. Called and asked to see if we purchased a new vehicle, if they'd give me more for my used one. They said they'll call back. Guess who called back? Joe! He wasn't interested in selling me a new car, tried to sell me the same vehicle I looked at. Completely avoided my question. Very pushy. We told him, "No thank you." Next day, he calls us and leaves a voicemail. Joe tries to offer us the vehicle, again. Ignored him and not even 1 min later, he emails us. Annoying. Gotten like 5 emails trying to get us to come back. Very pushy. Won't ever deal with them.

If I could give less than a star I would. Went to...

If I could give less than a star I would. Went to potentially purchase a car there because we have purchased from themin the past. We liked the price listed on CarGurus only to find out that there was going to be almost $1,700 in extra fees. Made it very clear we were not going to absorb those costs. In the end it didn’t work out because during my contemplation another person purchased the car. Upon our next visit to the dealership the following week about another car on CarGurus I was very clear that I wouldn’t pay the extra fees and they agreed to work with that since I didn’t want to waste anyone’s time. The car I wanted was at the Florence location being serviced so another more expensive car was brought to the dealership instead. This car was almost exactly the same car, give or take a couple of thousand miles, as the one I was interested in the week before. After waiting for over an hour, the manager, don’t remember his name, basically said that since this car was not listed on CarGurus he wouldn’t consider matching the price from last week. Gave us a bunch eye wash about how the internet has changed things and buying a used car is different now and he has all kinds of additional costs. Not my problem. Also proceed to say that Car Gurus is really to get people in the door. So a bait and switch, got it. Never go there if you want a fair deal.

Hidden Cost

Before on their online listings as the cost of the online pricing does not include recondition and detail cost. While it states that in the ad the price given is to low ball you in.. buyer beware, the bait and switch is at work here. Kinda easy to see why they only get 2.5 star ratings.

Body Damage by dealer being denied

This is going to be a long one....let me tell you about the worst customer service experience of my entire life at Jeff Wyler Honda of Colerain in Cincinnati, Ohio. I own a certified used 2013 Honda CRV with 76000 miles. I have a warranty that has me covered up to 100K miles or until March of 2020. On Oct 20, 2019 the vehicle lost power while driving and my insurance company had it towed to my regular mechanic. That mechanic wasnt able to identify the problem, so I had it towed a second time to Jeff Wyler Honda of Colerain because it was the closest Honda dealership on Oct 21, 2019. I'm called the next day by JD, who is quite friendly and helpful. He quotes me a price of $1800 for a timing chain, tensioner, and VTC actuator---which now I know after doing research is a well known problem on my particular year make and model. I say OK. Then I get to thinking, wait....I have a warranty. So I call them back. They play dumb, but tell me they will call Honda and see if it is covered. Im requested to provide my full service history to them to prove i have been maintaining the vehicle. I took receipts to the dealer that same day in person. This process to get Honda to cover the cost takes several days. Honda does finally agree to cover under warranty. The following day, I'm called back and told my timing slipped, and needed an entire new engine and Honda was going to send an investigator out. We wait 3 days. I keep calling Honda Corporate, no one ever returns my calls. Still to this day no one called me back. I'm then told by the dealership that Honda will not honor my warranty, due to deprivation of oil to my vehicle, even though I provided proof that the vehicle has been properly maintained. I then call Honda corporate to plead my case that this is a known issue on my vehicle and they need to stand behind it and they tell me its covered. What? That was my first indication that this dealership was shady. So then they start ducking our calls (I've got my dad involved at this point for help and moral support). My dad drove there in person multiple times as well. Finally, after 22 days my car is done, they tell me I can pick it up. I'm happy. JD pulls my car around, and i walk out to it. I say wait, that's not my car, theres a huge dent in it. JD acts like this is news to him, so i take him out to the car and show him. He says "we will review our cameras tomorrow to see if it came in like that. Call me at 10." Instead of calling, my dad goes there in person to review the footage himself. Except Surprise! They dont have any footage because it doesnt go back as far as the amount of time they had my car. They blame the tow truck driver. So. I call my insurance. They call the tow truck driver. Tow says there was no damage. My regular mechanic and the owner says no damage when it left there. The Honda repair man says "it was like that when we got it" except you can SEE buff marks on the dent where paint was buffed out. The tow truck driver certainly didnt stop and buff the car. JD suddenly says he noticed that when he worked on the car too----but if that's true why did he act surprised when I discovered the dent and showed it to him. Were not talking about a small ding. This dent is the size of a large toddler. I have offered to file an insurance claim---which I shouldnt even have to do--- if honda will cover my $250 deductible. But so far, no help. I rarely review anything online, but I truly feel I've been lied to by this dealership multiple times. I am an honest, hardworking single mom, and it is just not right how this entire situation has been handled. I feel that I have given them several opportunities to make this right, and they dont care to, so my only option now is to at least warn others not to use them. Update: the service manager just called me and told me they still claim the damage was done when they got the car but that was not documented because they "dont do that."

Service advisor great! Wait time horrible!!

Overall I was pleased with the service provided and the Service department advisor was great! Unfortunately, I waited over 4 hours for replacement of tires and still had to schedule a follow-up service appointment. I purchased my vehicle from this dealership and am usually pleased with the service experience. Unfortunately, this appointment was the second, this year, I've had to wait over 3 hours for fairly routine service.

HIdden reconditioning fee killed the deal

Test drove a certified used Honda. I was happy with the price and was ready to sign. When I sat down to do the deal, I was presented with a $1500 conditioning fee for the repairs they had to perform to get the car to qualify as a Certified Honda. Now the price of the vehicle was already over the price of a non-certified Honda of equal year/condition/mileage, and they wanted to add an additional fee for the work they needed to get it into condition. Why wasn't the fee included in the total price? I was told by the manager that all of the local certified used car dealers do this. That they list the cars minus the reconditioning fees to get customers in, and then customers generally will accept it as part of the deal. Not only is this a deceptive sales practice, but I also visited other dealers and found that some of those mentioned did not do this. Needless to say I went and purchased from one of the competitors they said did this practice, but in reality did NOT do it.

Excellent service and parts departments

Alley Baldwin was so very helpful and professional. I was amazed on how quickly she was able to get my car serviced. She was courteous and kind and kept me informed throughout the entire process. She is a great asset to their department. Steve in parts was also unbelievable in helping me find what I needed at a price I could afford. He showed great concern in helping me with my needs. You could tell how experienced he is in helping customers. I have to recognize Bernie who entertained me while I waited in their nice and comfortable waiting area.. Just a really nice and helpful guy. All in all GREAT experience. I will be back!
