Bait and switch

According to DealerRater.com there are 267 ford dealerships in Texas. Do yourself a favor and use that knowledge to avoid Red McCombs Ford in San Antonio. I reached out to this dealership to buy a new mustang from them. They ran a credit check and then said they would let me know when the car I had my eye on was on its way. They said that since it had not been built, there was no need to put a deposit down and the credit check was enough to hold the car for me. I have been checking multiple times a week to see when this car will be available and today it finally showed as being in transit! Imagine my surprise when I contacted the dealer only to find out that an employee had already put a deposit on the car I have been waiting 3 weeks to be built so I am out of luck. I will absolutely not do business with this dealership and now have a credit inquiry on my history for no reason. Go to any of the other 266 Ford dealerships and do not give these bait and switch con-artists your business.

Horrible dealership

Absolute WORST experience I could have ever imagined. Thought I had purchased a brand new ford bronco from them, but little did I know they would screw me out of their business. First I received a call that the car may have been damaged in transit, but they didn't know for sure and would let me know the next day. Two weeks later still no call. After calling management multiple times I was told they just don't know anything. A week later I get a call that the car is fine and will be there in two weeks. Two weeks come and I ask how the car is, and sales person tells me great came in the day before I will send you pictures. An hour later her calls me saying just kidding its not here and another sales men was trying to sale it to someone else. Keep in mind I have sighed for this car already! Then he says oh and it may still have been damaged on transit where it still is. I really don't know anything. Two months later and I still don't even know if I have a car, if it's damaged, or if it was sold to someone else. DO NOT BUY A CAR HERE! Learn from my mistake!

Panoramic sunroof repairs

Doesn't stand behind their work, they replaced my sunroof less than a year later it was leaking. Took it back in and they said that my extended warranty didn't cover a bad seal. Even though they're the ones that "sealed it" Didn't adjust air pressure when rotating tires, didn't fill fluids. Kinda makes you wander what else they forget to do. Will NEVER purchase or service my truck with any red McCombs dealership. It’s always something with them.

Bought used car. They failed to repair before sale

We bought a 2015 Altima in December. With approximately 3000 miles on the car we were metal on metal with brakes and had leaking shocks. We parked the car for around 2.5 weeks because it wasn’t safe to drive and we couldn’t afford brakes. I then took it to the local shop because I could finance the work for brakes. They fixed them and confirmed (and showed me) that they were metal on metal in the back and close to that in the front. Needed pads all the way around and rotors in the back. That’s when they showed me the leaking shocks on both sides. I tried to call the manager at Red McCombs 3 times and never received a call back. Then I called the service department and left two messages. No call back. Finally the operator transferred me to someone who was there. They said they would look at the shocks but won’t reimburse for the brakes because they didn’t get to look at them. It was unsafe to drive an hour away and I can’t afford a tow. He said they MAY have paid for the tow after they looked at the brakes. I don’t have money for MAY. I will never buy a car here again. I dealt with Josh and Cliff in service. I am out almost $500 for brakes. They are doing the shocks after I raised xxxx. Never again. They obviously don’t inspect cars before they sell them as “certified preowned.”

2012 Ford Edge battery died

My battery died on 410 and Evers shopping center parking lot. AAA came and jumped and gave me a printout and said it was the battery. I had already called Josh Hammond and Jose Rico and said I would be coming. When I arrived they took my car and I had a new battery in less then 45 minutes. The whole experience only took less then 3 hrs and than included an hour wait for AAA. My sister and I were on our way quickly.
