They've basically stolen my truck because they screwed up

They've basically stolen my truck because they screwed up a repair. It's been around a year where I pay, have insurance, but it sits in their lot. My son broke down on 95, so we had it towed to the nearest dealership. It's an old ranger I had bought for him for school and he was helping his sister move. It ended up the entire rear axle needed to be replaced. They said they'd do it and it took quite a while. I kept offering to take it locally, but had no reason to not believe them. They did eventually find a replacement and made the repair. Took a nice chunk of change to do it, but we were happy to get it back. A little while later it starts making a lot of noise. We brought it to our mechanic down in the Oviedo area. What he saw shocked us. They axle they installed had "NO OIL" written on it with large letters. It also had garbage bolts holding the plate. Basically they never put oil into their replacement. It's an oversite, but it needs to be replaced again. It's all covered under their warranty. Well now it's months, no contact, they just keep saying the truck is in bad shape. It's the trucks fault, but funny how they cannot prove the part they installed is working. I say I don't care about the rest of the truck, just replace the axle correctly this time. No comment. I've asked for a refund, nothing. Now it's just held hostage and calls are not returned. It's obvious that if the axle was fine they would prove it and give us back the truck. But you can easily hear the issue when it's on a rack. So now we're out the cost of the truck, my son is in school and I can't afford another vehicle. We're out the cost of the repair and we have to deal with this monster that wants to hide behind their desk. Thanks Dave!

Pleasant experience!

Chris Dunn was wonderful in helping through my first time purchasing through a dealer. While I was signing paperwork, he came in to let me know the tank had been filled but while the service was doing a quick power wash, a chip of paint came off. He made sure the paperwork was amended to add that it would be fixed at no cost and I would have a loaner. I will be dropping it off this weekend, and he has been sure to keep in touch that service had called me to make sure everything is taken care of. Even confirming date and time I plan to drop off so the loaner is ready to go. I was referred by a friend who'd purchased his truck here, and I would definitely go back for future vehicles.

Caring Home Town Dealer

We went in looking made a very bad choice and bought one of the trucks, I did not sign and even walked out but my husband signed. I started trying to get them to by it back the next week, for them to keep the 6000. Just take it back. NO. We don't drive it much but have had 3 deaths in the last 2 months and had to go home so time for an clean up I called 2 time s, they did not return my call. We went home with a truck we cleaned but still they could call us back. This morning another death, we need our first lol change, I call early and get someone named Debbie in service ask for the very first appointment, Friday is my answer. I explain what has happened hoping for her to emphasize with my situation. She said sorry she could let me drop it off and when they could they would call me to come get it but no promises of which day. I have to go home today. They say they are a home town dealer that cares. That is the first lie.

Laziness loses

The service department is either lazy or deceptive. My wife brought her vehicle in for an oil change and tire rotation. Tire rotation wasn't done.

Pleasurable Shopping Experience

Due to a total loss collision, I was needing to replace my car quickly. The parameters needed in the car were very narrow and specific and my desired price point was under $13,000. Sales Consultant Michael Hamilton and General Sales Manager Paul Summa worked very hard with me to try to find a car meeting my needs in their inventory and make helpful suggestions. At no time did I feel pressured. They were patient and friendly. When we all concluded that nothing they had available was going to work for me, they were very cordial and wished me well in my search. I was very pleased with the experience and will definitely go back the next time I am in the market for a car.

Deceptive advertising

Went to look at an advertised Certified Preowned car. When I went to work on price they added $899 for Certified Preowned to the advertised price. This is a clear violation of Florida law requiring advertised prices to include all fees a customer must pay. When I pointed this out they just shrugged. Don’t do business with these con men.

Dealer response

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review of our dealership. Please note that not all of our pre-owned vehicles are "Certified Ford pre-owned" at the time they are advertised across various media. If the vehicle is later determined to qualify for Certification, we then perform the entire process to Ford corporate guidelines and add the Certification claim to the vehicle where it is then updated in our inventory and advertising/website. It is very possible that you visited our location while this process was underway which is why you encountered the pricing difference. Please reach out to our Sales team at 386-447-3380 if we can help with your research any further.

Purchase of Truck

Purchasing a new car or truck can be an exhausting experience. We knew our finances and what we could afford, did the research, trolled the internet, contacted dealerships and talked with customers who had recently made new car or truck purchases. Since we both travel for work, we were not tied to one location for our purchase, but the list of who we wanted to do business with dwindled quickly. Palm Coast Ford treated us with respect. Period. Since we were in the area and had our trade-in on hand, we decided to stop in to peruse their inventory. Before heading out to the dealership we had corresponded by email and text with Chris Smith and Sean Peveler. At no time during the process did we feel like just a ?number? to them or an inconvenience to their schedule. Everyone that we met had a professional and warm demeanor, they responded in a timely manner to our deluge of questions. The entire staff totally dismantled the ?used car salesman? image that has become so iconic. While we loved our Ford Edge, our goal was to purchase a dually truck that could handle our forty-three foot fifth wheel, while not over taxing the truck or the engine, with power for traversing the passes at home in Colorado. We purchased a Chevy Silverado truck that was in their used vehicle inventory. Happy, happy, happy the truck is exactly what we needed. So, the real question is?do we feel comfortable recommending Palm Coast Ford to our friends and family for the purchase or lease of a new or used car or truck? Absolutely, the entire process went smoothly, we were treated fairly and with respect by everyone that we encountered. I would have no reservations at all endorsing Palm Coast Ford, they truly earned our business and an excellent review.

Outstanding Customer Service-

I'd like to personally thank Barry C. and Sean P for their outstanding customer service and attention to detail. They have always gone out of their way to help me, wheather it's getting an item for my car, showing me where the coffee is, or reaching out to me via email. Great dealership. They have a customer for life. Sincerely, Dorothy Howe Palm Coast, FL

Great Dealership

In less than 8 years in this area, I've purchased 6 vehicles from this dealer and will complete my 7th purchase in a couple weeks. Care dealers can get a pretty bad rap, but folks have to understand that they are in this business to make profits, not to give folks free cars. But this dealership has always given me a great deal and are fun to work with. Before any of my purchases, I've shopped around before going there and the final price they have given me every time has been very competitive. Looking forward to doing business with them for many years to come.
