Excellent Service Department Experience at Gibbs

Had a great experience with Tom Gibbs Chevrolet service team. I brought my car to another dealership first and they could not diagnose the problem. I was able to get in right away with Tom Gibbs and the technician was able to diagnose the problem in a timely fashion. Mike the service advisor kept me posted throughout the process and explained the issue I was experiencing. The pricing was very reasonable compared to what I have seen at other dealerships. I'll definitely be back again and will also try to buy my next car from Tom Gibbs Chevy. Great team. Thank you again!


Great Service Department, Honest People

Tom Gibbs Chevy has the best service department I've ever been to. I was greeted with a friendly smile by my service agent, they took good notes on everything that I wanted checked out on my car. They notified me that I could use a service shuttle to get a ride home instead of stay at the dealership during the diagnostic. My advisor called me a few hours later with some updates an explained the pricing and process over the phone. The pricing was reasonable compared to other shops I have been to, and the work was done in a timely and professional manner. On top of that, they also washed my car. I would definitely go to Tom Gibbs Chevrolet again in the future. Great people, great dealership


Stay Away

I went in today to have a diagnostic test done to my car because my air conditioner was not blowing cold air. You clearly could hear that the compressor was not coming on at all. My husband told me let them put it on diagnostic and we will go from there. So, after they do that they come and tell me that it is the Schrader Valve. I ask how much they tell me $334. I said do it, even though I thought it was a bit pricey. They then come out and tell me that the compressor was not coming on. I said I know that, he said why didn't you tell me that. I said to him What the xxxx do I have to tell you that for, you had it on the Diagnostic. So anyway I ended up paying $166. dollars, a discounted rate because they fixed a problem that was NOT THE PROBLEM. On top of that, I had a mechanic just check to see how much coolant was in the car yesterday and it was fine. I was then told that he must of bent the valve when he checked that so that's why I was being charged. So Full of xxxx. I will never go back there. Bad Business. While I was sitting in the waiting area, a little old lady sitting next to me was waiting for them to come out and tell here what was going on with her car. Well, the problem she thought she had was fine, but of course tried to get $700 out of her for tires. She originally said yes. I told her not to get the tires at this time, to go and let her son look at the car first, so she didn't get robbed also. They are crooks. I will never ever go back there. Should be ashamed of themselves. I should of listened to friends and co workers that had the same thing happen to them. Now they want over 900 for the compressor. No Way.

Would never buy from this dealership!!! RUDE!!!

I was browsing for a vehicle one evening. I came across an advertisement on this site,, from Tom GIbbs Chevrolet dealership. I was SUPER surprised to have found a 2021 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 LT for the amazing price of $1,322.  I have cash at hand to buy the vehicle.  When I reached out to the dealership through the link; I was contacted by a Salesman from the dealership. He was courteous and advised the vehicle was on transit to the dealership.  My excited response was that as soon as the vehicle was delivered to please let me know so that I could pick it up.  The sales person's response was that it was a third party mistake and that the advertised price would not be honored. I proceeded to contact higher management and this is when the HORRIBLE customer service got even worse.  I wrote to one of the Owners pointing out that the actions could be misconstrued and considered false advertising. Which has penalties according to the law. The response from the Owner was that it was a 3rd party website mistake and that the price would not be honored. He went on and on and concluded stating that "refrain from any further contact with this dealership." I have remained on the margin with this. However, I feel robbed!!! I have kept quiet and I can't anymore.  If anyone out there is a lawyer and can assist with this matter I would greatly appreciate being contacted. If consumer laws don't protect us from this type of misbehavior from Corporations, then what are the laws there for?

Abe thank you for your review. As we discussed, we do have human beings that manually change the pricing of new/used inventory and yes, sometimes humans make mistakes. When the $1300 price tag on a 3rd party site for a new Silverado was brought to our attention, we made the appropriate changes the same day. A month later you are still hounding our sales department and writing disparaging reviews about our team. If this is the most pressing event you have going on in your life right now, we suggest you find a few new hobbies to focus on.


Bad business

Take your money somewhere else. First of all I wanted to pay cash for the vehicle I was purchasing. They didn’t want cash, they want you to finance so they make more money. I bought a used 2019 Mustang GT from this place. I brought it home and noticed it was missing an exhaust mode in the computer. I took it to a Ford mechanic. Ford saw that it had an aftermarket exhaust and there was nothing in the service history about it. The Ford dealer told me to go back to the dealer I purchased from to have the factory exhaust put back on since it wasn’t listed in the service history. The sales manager said no. Do not bother with these people. The facility is dirty also. The restroom looked like it hadn’t had the trash dumped in 2 days and hadn’t been cleaned in who knows how long. Terrible place. DO NOT GO HERE!

They Put The Deal in Dealership

Super experience at Tom Gibbs Chevrolet! They had the pre-owned vehicle I'd been searching a long time for. Very approachable sales and finance staff. Low pressure environment. Would recommend to anyone looking for a vehicle. These folks are a breath of fresh air in a sector known mainly in negative terms.


Tom Gibbs Chevrolet Ripps me off of $4,000.oo.

I rolled $4000.00 that I owed from a lease when purchasing a new P/U. Tom Gibbs never paid the $4000.00 off to GM financing. This is on my credit now as not being paid. ( Very bad) After 35 years of buying G/M trucks this is how I'm treated. Never again.



Double billed State Farm for a claim and State Farm contacted me. Beware!! Especially Chris. Always with a customer and would never call me. Said they could not fix under GM warranty. Paid $300 to get towed to Jacksonville , Coggin. This was a $4800 issue!! Fixed and perfect now. Ask for Randy at Coggin. FYI, my first review. Feeling passionate.



ALL BUYERS BEWARE !!! I am normally not a reviewer but my experience needs to be shared to protect people from this place. My experience at this dealer could have been A , but the owner himself Tommy Gibbs dropped the ball. I attempted to purchase a Silverado 2500hd from this place on line . After negotiations and back and forth a deal was struck and delivery of the vehicle was scheduled for the next day . Come the day of the delivery the transporter arrived on time after a 4 hour nearly 300 mile drive. It was now my chance to inspect the vehicle before I signed and took ownership . During my walk around on a new 2021 SilverAdo 2500hd the black paint was covered in swirls and scratches from a horrible detail job. The brand new truck paint had been ruined . The transporter contacted the owner who wouldn’t even give me the courtesy of talking to me himself . Instead of being a stand up owner with his reputation on the line he decided to back out of the deal because “ he couldn’t make me happy” after a slap in the face offer of $100 on a truck that needs full paint correction. This kind of experience proves the lack of an owner Tommy Gibbs truly is and the lack of trust he has in his employees to make the deal right and fix the errors of his employees. I’m sharing my experience not to receive one single hand out but only to open the eyes to potential customers to tread with extreme caution. Because if the owner of the “ 40 year Family Owned Dealership” won’t make a deal right then there is no reason to do business with them .
