Poor service led to transmission issues.

Poor service led to transmission issues. I have been getting my oil changed for years and was told that all fluids are checked at each service. I was on my way home and car started jerking and stalling only to find out it was 1 1/2 quarts low in transmission fluid. I had just had the oil changed on 3/4/2024. Had a talk with the desk guy and he confirmed that I had been coming for years and they check all fluids. I asked, then why was my transmission fluid low? No response was given.
