Pugmire Ford's Service Department just tried to defraud

Pugmire Ford's Service Department just tried to defraud me of $5,000. Read below for how Ford's warranty is a joke. I will never buy a Ford again. The cars and the company stink. Pugmire Ford claimed my 2020 Ford Escape with 40,000 miles had $5,000 in Rodent Damage (DealerRater doesn't support photo posting, but feel free to check my review on GoogleMaps or Yelp if you want visual confirmation of the facts). I had an insurance adjuster from USAA check it out (Rodent Damage is covered by Comprehensive Insurance) and they could not show the USAA adjustor any evidence of Rodent Damage. Despite this, I had to pay Pugmire $200 for "diagnostics" to release my car so I could have it towed to another dealer. After a couple rounds with the other dealer (Wade Ford), they finally admitted the problem was that the Turbo unit was not good and needed replacing despite only having 40,000 miles on the car and being very well maintained. This was covered by the Power Train warranty. Off the record, someone told me they don't like doing expensive warranty repairs because Ford doesn't pay the dealers enough for them. Cars shouldn't need core power train components replaced at 40,000 miles unless they are a xxx. Warranties that dealers will move heaven and earth to try and avoid honoring aren't worth much either. If you are thinking about Pugmire Ford run like xxxx the opposite direction (Wade Ford was better but not great). Better yet, buy a better car from another manufacturer so it won't need major repairs after only 40,000 miles with great maintenance.

I told them I wanted to buy one of their vehicles.

I told them I wanted to buy one of their vehicles. After I signed the agreement they moved it around back and put a sold paper in the dash. It took two days for me to get them a copy of the bank check and three more to pick it up. They didn't make me race other interested people to be the first one there with cash. That was an issue with other dealers. They also sold it to me for the advertised price. I didn't have to use their financing to get the advertised price.

Do Not Shop Here!

Do Not Shop Here! Deceitful salespeople and awful service My salesman, Tim Whitehead: Initially kind and a pleasure to work with, until the paperwork is signed. Then you are nothing but a bother to him and the dealership as a whole. I was sold a truck that had the check engine light come on within 24 hours of purchase and again 24 hours again after 'fixing' the issue. I could not get a return call regarding help, so my husband and I drove 2 hours back to the dealership to get someone to talk to us. We unfortunately happened to speak with Tim, who proceeded to yell and lie about anything and everything we were there to discuss. We were in shock, but we maintained our calm composure. ***I have a complete audio recording of this interaction*** The senior sales manager, Ted reached out and appeared to be the voice of reason. He was full of apologies and lots of 'this has never happened before.' Unfortunately, just as my previous relationship with Tim, my relationship with Ted was fraught with lies as well. Ted spoke a very good game and at least over the phone seemed to care. However, all of the promises made were never kept. He said they would pick my truck up Monday and bring it back for service, that didn't happen. He joyously asked what kind of loaner would make up for the inconvenience and I said a mustang would be lovely, that never happened. When a driver did become available, I had reached the point where I no longer trusted my truck would be taken care of. There's more craziness involved in this situation, but at this point the fact is I have bought an unreliable vehicle from a disreputable dealership that I would never recommend to anyone. I have owned this 2017 350 since the beginning of September and as of October 9th I still have not been able to drive and enjoy this truck due to the severe incompetencies and shortcomings of this dealership. Save yourself from the misery shopping here will bring you, and avoid Tim Whitehead and Ted at all costs!

I purchased a car from here and had the pleasure of working with Tim Whitehead. From the moment I walked into the dealership, I was impressed by his professionalism and dedication to customer service. Tim took the time to understand my needs and preferences, guiding me through the selection process with patience and expertise. He was incredibly knowledgeable about the different models available and helped me find the perfect vehicle to suit my requirements. Throughout the entire purchasing process, Tim was transparent, honest, and courteous. He went above and beyond to ensure that I felt comfortable and informed every step of the way. I never felt pressured or rushed into making a decision, which I greatly appreciated. Thanks to Tim’s assistance, I am now the proud owner of a fantastic car that exceeds all of my expectations. I cannot recommend him highly enough to anyone in search of a new vehicle. His dedication to customer satisfaction truly sets him apart and above the rest. Overall, my experience at Pugmire Ford in Cartersville was exceptional, thanks in large part to Mr. Tim Whitehead! Sincerely, One Satisfied Customer!

I stopped by Pugmire Ford to look at a truck.

I stopped by Pugmire Ford to look at a truck. The sales guy Tim was the best salesman I have ever had the pleasure of working with. I told him I was only looking, but he treated me as if I was important as any other customer. He was patient and was not pushy at all but yet still very helpful. I did not purchase the truck yet, but when I do, I don’t want to deal with anyone else but Tim Whitehead.
