    I just wanted the rotors turned and new pads replaced. They called me and said the rotors were out of spec and I needed new ones. I told them go ahead and put new rotors and pads, I also told them I want the old rotors. The brake job was completed that morning. I measured the old rotors and they are still in spec. Spec is 32mm and the are 33.8. I'm not sure how much they machine off when they turn rotors but I think the old rotors are fine. Getting new rotors more than doubled the price of the repair if they would have turned them. I guess I will go back to doing it myself and save all most $500.00.

    Bought a car (brand new) 4 yrs ago...have had 7 recalls, one of which my back door flung open on the freeway with my child in the backseat. Altnernator just went out and they wanted to charge me almost $800 dollars to fix it when the part only cost $100. Price gouging and VERY poor costumer service. Never again will I go to Rich Ford on Lomas.

    Sir, Rich Ford is a Ford dealer and supports the products we sell. But, the pricing of genuine Ford parts, while sometimes more than generic brands, also carries the continued warranty coverage. Also, only a Ford service computer can properly diagnose your vehicles issues correctly. The service department is not at liberty to inflate the pricing of their services or prices, nor do they have any incentive to do so. No one will gouge. If your car also experiences above average problems, its also us that will go to bat for you to help process any issues with Ford. Will your neighborhood mechanic do that?     I went in for an oil change and was told it would take an hour. My service adviser went to lunch in the middle of it and I didn't hear from him for three hours. The best they could do to make up their lack of communication and for wasting my time was a coupon for a free car wash. Never coming here for service again. Edit: The service manager has since reached out to me and assured me that the lack of communication displayed yesterday will be addressed properly. Since something is being done to prevent situations like this from reoccurring, I'm happy to say I now view the dealership in a more positive light. It was unfortunate that this happened on my first visit but I'd now be glad to give them another chance.
