I went down to look at a Hummer that i had seen online. ...

I went down to look at a Hummer that i had seen online. My daughter and myself went down to testdrive and purchase this vehicle. everything was fine untill we signed on the dotted line from that point on everything went down hill. We bought the Hummer on a Saturday and when I got home and had more time to check over things, I had noticed a few isues. First thing Monday morning I called to talk to my salesman Tom Merolla who was instantly deffensive when i tried to explaine to him the isues I was having. He explained that these isues cannot be true because they had serviced the vehicle. He then told me to call him back on Thursday to see what we could do, which I later had discovered he had done this because he had someone who i personally new was coming down to purchase my trade in which i was told was going to be sent to auction because it supposedly wasnt worth more than the 1500 thay gave me for the vehicle. They had sold it to my friend for 4000 dollars cuz they told him they had given me 3500 for the truck. So besides all the lies I called Tom back on Tuesday because I did not want wait to take care of theses isuses. He said fine bring it down Saturday so I was there first thing for him to take his anger out on me cuz he had just gotten a speeding ticket on the way to work. He then told me to come back Monday after work and they would get it in.. I brought it in on Monday were they did give me a loner which was the only good thing so far. After having my Hummer at the dealership all week with no phone call or update I called them and was told that they were not goin to work on it until my additionally purchased warranty kicked in after 30 days. I then called and talked to Rick Humphrey a sales manager who couldnt seem to understand my being upsest and he told me that i must not have been aware that I had purchased a used vehicle and that if I didnt like it I can just come on down and pick up my vehicle as is. He reluctantly said that he would see what was goin on and call me back. I called him back after an hour and he told me parts were on order. I called back on Tuesday and was again told that they were not going to do anything until my warranty kicked in. I made one last call to Carol there customer service manager and thanks to her I finally was able to get some of the isues fixed but had later found out that they hadnt evan changed the oil which I was told was done before i purchased the Hummer. My advice is to dont evan look when you drive by this place unless you want the worst car buying experience of your life!!!

Automax Hyundai

My old car was recently totaled and my mom had just bought a new car from automatic with the help of Reggie. My mom was down there getting a key and told Reggie what was going on with me and my car. Without me being there they had everything set up and ready for me when I got there. The service was prompt and everyone was so kind and through. I felt very comfortable and like I was in charge of my choices and not pushed into anything. I will most definitely be buying for automax and Reggie again and will highly recommend them to anyone I know in search of a new car!!! Thank you for the amazing service!

Above and Beyond! Great service, Great people!

I live in Houston, and am here visiting. I was having trouble with the Bluetooth unit on my car, and was also needing to buy a new spare tire. When I learned the Bluetooth unit had gone bad, and needed to be replaced, they told me it would need to be ordered, and would be here in three days. I said I need to head back before then, so the Service Manager, Jay Bewley, made a couple of phone calls, and came back with good news. It was being overnighted, and could be installed tomorrow. He even gave me a great discount on the tire, saving me a ton of money! I'd priced them back home, so I knew this was a great deal. Wow! Talk about going above and beyond! Even though I'm don't even live around here, they made me feel like my business and my needs really mattered to them. I highly recommend this dealership to anybody!

Happy repeat customer!

This is the second car I've purchased here. I had very good experiences both times. My salesman, whose name is Charles C. Was very thorough and honest with me, showing me several different cars before I decided on one. Overall, a very pleasant experience. The service department is great, usually providing donuts or popcorn. We prefer the donuts, to tell the truth! We highly recommend this dealership to anyone!

second vehicle i have purchased from automax,

I went in for a routine service on my vehicle and came home with a brand new Elantra. Ken Reilly was very nice and polite. Showed me several new vehicles and helped me through every step of the purchase, even though he was due to be at a training class. He didn't leave until everything was taken care of. I really appreciate everything he did to help me. He wasn't pushy at all. He explained every thing to me so that I understood exactly what was going on. If I buy another Hyundai in the future, I will return to Ken. When he told me customer satisfaction was very important to him, he truly meant it. Thanks to Ken and Automax. I love my new car.

Lilian was great. She was very upfront with us and helped us in making our first purchase a great experience. I would definitely recommend my friends. All the other dealerships we went to were very rude and standoffish. She gave us all the information we need and space and time to make our decision. We really appreciate it.

BEWARE - SERVICE DEPARTMENT

Repeatedly unable to identify and diagnois an A/C problem. Replacing multiple parts over a period of several visits. Never mentioning the number of working parts involved or advising the cost of replacing the entire unit at once to avoid excessive labor. At $105 per labor hour, the dealership profits from returning customers and trys to tell you they had your best interest in mind by keeping each repair bill down. Ask them specifically about the worse case senario on any major repair and do the math in advance.

Lilian's attitude impressed me. Her no pressure...

Lilian's attitude impressed me. Her no pressure approach and willingness to make us happy is what sold us on buying our new Sante Fe. She is one of the best salesperson I have ever worked with and made buying a car more enjoyable.

I don't feel that I was taken serious about buying a...

I don't feel that I was taken serious about buying a vehicle I seen online, even after I repeatedly stated I was SERIOUS and ready to buy TODAY! Maybe Jennifer Rush and her Used Car Sales Manager (if she really referred my offer) were preoccupied or simply not interested in making a deal. SO, I PURCHASED ELSEWHERE! Unfortunately, not everyone has the luxury of being able to go from dealership to dealership haggling over a price, but rest assured it we were able to get close, I was ready to make that trip. However; Jennifer Rush/Automax was not ready to deal, at least with me. Please see one of my final replies to Jennifer Rush below: It is very obvious to me that you all were not trying to sell that Pathfinder or any other vehicle to me, but that's okay. There were other dealerships interested in selling cars and even selling one to ME. As I told you on Monday, I was a SERIOUS buyer and ready to buy that day (or whenever) if the VEHICLE & PRICE were right! You all chose not to deal, at least with me. Therefore, I took my business elsewhere. Not to mention that vehicle has been on your lot nearly 60 days if not more and for a dealership that IS a big deal. MOST dealerships don't want to hold onto vehicles for that length of time, but maybe you all are different. I wasn't your average buyer. I have been in your shoes and am very aware of how the business works. That is why I assured you that I was a SERIOUS buyer and ready to buy THAT DAY! After all, that is the name of the game. Sell cars and make some money doing it. E-commerce is the way of the world now and if you all don't get on board, you may stand the potential to leave a lot of money on the table for others to grab. Unfortunately, not everyone has the time, nor ability to come into a dealership to make a deal. Sometimes the deal has to be made off-site (phone, email, text, IM, etc) and then finalized at the dealership, which is by the way, what I done. I spent maybe 45 mins tops at the dealership and that included the test drive, agreeing to a final OTD price and paperwork. I am very satisfied with the vehicle I purchased and I have you all to partly thank for it. Had I purchased from you all, I would have been happy because I did like the vehicle. Nonetheless, I like the one I purchased more, probably because I like Toyota's over Nissan's. Either would have worked for me though. So, I guess some good did come out of all of this after all. Anyway, I appreciate your time (or lack thereof) and can honestly say I am glad I did not sell cars for you all. I may not have survived relying on deals ONLY when the potential customer was in front of me. I wish you well and happy selling. Take care... Respectfully, David W.
