Beware of this dealer

Drove 70+ miles with my family to buy a minivan from this dealer. Could not initially agree on a price after 1 hour so we were walking out when Waverly stopped us. The difference in agreement was $749.00. He wanted to know why I was not flexible on my price and I stated that I would not finance more than a fixed amount. After speaking for a few more minutes, he told the salesman to go ahead and sell the van. 1 1/2 hours later the finance manager tells me the monthly payment and I inquired as to the figure I had agreed to verbally with Waverly ... turns out it was $249 higher than we had agreed. 2 1/2 hours later with a 6, 5 and 2 year old I had to now decide if $249 was worth wasting that amount of time. I decided that the amount of time we had already spent would be a waste for $249. However, this process showed the lack of integrity of Phelps and we will never do business together again. - FYI, the vehicle turned out to be missing several key parts that an initial walk through would not detect ... including a spare tire.

New car purchase

I ordered a new 2018 Traverse and it was lost in transit. Mike Phelps did not know what had happen and then found out it had been damaged after days of tracing it down. Thomas Clayton was the salesman and was great to work with. He did an outstanding job to make the deal go smoothly. I feel Chevrolet should have offered something for having to wait days to find out the new Traverse had been damaged. It was luck that Mike Phelps found another one since the Cajun Red was hard to find and that is why I had to order one and wait weeks only to find out it had been damaged in transit and not knowing if I would be able to get one before months later. That was the only disappointing part of the transaction. .

One of the best car buying experiences we've had

Phelps Chevrolet's sales associate Timothy Hardee is a courteous, sincere and professional representative of this dealership. Timothy was helpful from the beginning of the purchase to the end. He even gave us a follow up calland enouraged us to come back for additional information on the technology our vehicle has!

The Definition of customer Service

We were directed to this dealership by a friend who had good experience with them. My daughter had just totaled her car and we were coming in from out of town to replace. They made the buying process very easy and low pressure. That was just the start. They made my daughter, who was very shooken up from her accident feel very comfortable. They also let her know that they were there to help her with any car issues she had. Living 2 hrs away, this made a Dad feel good. They have been very helpful after the sale with tags etc. They will also make sure she keeps car serviced and in warranty. Very pleased and thankful. Thomas is Da Man!

Fantastic Service

I recently had an accident that totalled my old car. I was scheduled to leave for vacation the next week -- While on vacation in Mexico, Thomas Cayton located the perfect car for me! We communicated via phone and text message while I was away on Vacation. He was informative, knowledgeable, and helpful! He had the car ready for me when I arrived home! It was the most effortless transaction I have ever experienced. I have purchased several cars from Thomas Cayton at Phelps and will continue to in the future!
