On 5/6 took my 2013 Ford Flex to Hastings Ford for an oil change and registration inspection. We pick up the car later that evening (took them from 9am-4pm to do an oil change & inspection) This was Mother’s Day weekend and all I wanted to do was rest so other than going to the store for dinner we didn’t go anywhere all weekend. Monday I dropped my husband off at work and took my son to school…car didn’t move anymore until I went a meeting at my son’s school at 245. From there I drive back to little Washington to pick my husband up from work. On the way to pick up my husband I noticed the car began driving a little rough, by the time I got into little Washington the car wouldn’t allow me to go any faster than 40 mph then it began making a loud clanking noise. I tried turning off the car while waiting during a red light hoping that would help…no such luck. When the car finally started back up a blast of smoke blew out the back and the car began to drive in a herky jerky manner all the while slowly decelerating until I pulled over because it wouldn’t go any further. My car never started up again after that. Had the car towed to Ford praying it could be fixed but I was told the engine was bad due to anti freeze getting into the oil. Now mind you we NEVER had engine issues with this car, never! It took Ford TWO WEEKS to even look at the car after we had it towed to them then had the audacity to charge us $135 for the diagnostic that told us our car was no more good! Now I’m not a mechanic, never claimed to be but I find it very very suspicious that 3 days after these people did an oil change AND passed the car’s inspection that my car’s engine just all of a sudden blew! Daniel who usually answers the phone was always telling me that they were understaffed and I feel that it is possible that because they were rushing to get these cars repaired and did something inadvertently that caused my engine to blow. Due to lack of money and time I don’t have the ability to take the car elsewhere for a 2nd opinion or to find out what caused this to happen but my gut tells me the fault lies with Hastings Ford.

Don’t buy from Hastings Ford
Called the dealership to buy a car. They asked where I was coming from (Tenn). They said they would not sell a vehicle to anyone outside of their area.

Going Beyond Normal Service
A month ago my daughter called me very upset about her 2009 Ford Escape. Her car would not maintain speed at high or low rpms. A Ford dealer in Moorhead told her that to repair her car she was looking at $600 and possibly thousands of dollars depending on what they found. I did some research on line and I felt sure it was the Valve Throttle Body. I asked her to bring her car to me and I would make the repairs. After calling around to find the part, I ended up calling Hasting Ford. They had the part I needed but the parts person explained that this part was covered under an extended warranty. He transferred me to the service department and they made an appointment to look at my daughter's car. Long story short, they determined that it was the Valve Throttle Body and all of the parts and labor were taken care of with no charge to my daughter. Finding an honest car dealership is hard to come by these days; Hasting Ford of Greenville, N.C. meets all my requirements. Thanks so much for your help.

Horrible experience!
The experience started out wonderful with a quick sale with no issues. Then we had issues after the sale and everybody was Missing in Action. Worst experience of my life.

Great Service, friendly staff
When I called to schedule an appointment for an oil change, the person I spoke with was very friendly and helpful. I arrived at my scheduled time, my car was taken in for service immediately, and I was finished in about 30 minutes. The waiting area was clean and the staff was friendly. I am extremely happy with the service.
