Spoke to a salesperson about a used Telluride.

Spoke to a salesperson about a used Telluride. Scheduled an appointment with the salesperson to test drive it. Drove 30 min (each way) to the dealership only to learn once I arrived that the car was no longer available. This is why people HATE car dealerships. I would recommend avoiding this dealership. After reading the reviews, I'm not the only one this has happened to. It seems to be a frequent occurrence.

I went to Leith Ford to have a side mirror replaced.

I went to Leith Ford to have a side mirror replaced. It was also time to have my car inspected and the oil changed. The parts person Donnie said that the mirror would be back ordered and that when they were available again they would be $700. He said if I didn’t mind having a used mirror, it would cost about $300 or $350. He assured me that it would work fine and would be painted. He spoke to another man and they felt that they could pass the car with just the driver side mirror. I made the appointment and came back to have this done. As a note this was the most I have ever had to pay for inspection and oil change and took hours to finish. I waited a week and when no one called I went to Leith again. I saw the mirror on the parts counter and spoke to Donnie. We made an appointment and he walked me out to my car. When I got home I started thinking about the things he said and that when I saw the mirror it had scratches on it. I decided it would be prudent to call and make sure that it was going to be painted like he said in the beginning. I’m glad I called because he was not going to have the mirror painted. Credibility in these people was waining. I had an appointment to have the mirror installed. When I went in they said the mirror was not back yet. I waited another week and no response. After about the fifth or sixth call I thought I’d better ask if the mirror would be $300 plus tax or $350 plus tax. The woman said it would be just under $550. I argued back and forth and finally said I would have to talk to Donnie. In all I made eight calls trying to talk to Donnie. To be fair there was one call from Leith. When I finally talked to Donnie he said that the other man there was supposed to tell me about extra charges. This was never done. Then he said he could try and give me a better deal. When he finished he gave me a cost of over $600. What kind of business is this? What recourse do I have? I got a call from another person at Leith. He asked me if I still wanted the mirror. I said yes and he then told me that it would be $650. I told him that I was told it would be between $300 and $350. We went back and forth. Finally he said he couldn’t do anything for less than $650. I got so upset and hung up. I have always thought that the $300 to $350 was a lot of money but I figured that going to a car dealer was going to be expensive. Even the inspection and oil change was more than I have ever paid. Are car dealers allowed to lie and cheat and not be held accountable. Do I have to see a lawyer? I am also looking for other alternatives to not let them get away with their dirty dealings. I read their reply. I never said that I didn’t want the mirror and to have it put on my car. This whole complaint has to do with the mirror (not the oil change) and the price I was quoted. The only price I was quoted. When I hung up on the man that called me it was because I was so upset that I was shaking. When I went into Leith neither Donnie nor anyone else said that there would be more charges than the $300 or $350 quoted. The most ridiculous statement in the company’s reply was that they were assuming I was going to put the mirror on myself. I am a 77 senior citizen. Is there nothing the Better Business Bureau can do for me that holds them accountable. Are car companies so powerful that they can do and say anything and the public must roll over and do whatever they say. I am beginning to feel that they are thinking this old lady might die and they would not have to be bothered by me again. All I have ever wanted was for them to honor their original cost of $300 to $350 without adding hundreds of dollars because of their greed and dishonesty.

Warning!

Warning!!!. Do not buy an "as-is" vehicle w/o an inspection first! I test drove a truck and it felt weird. The salesman said "this is a pick-up, that's how they drive". I took his word for it, thinking a reputable dealership would not put anything on the lot that would require substantial work. I purchased the truck and while driving home, the vibration was much more pronounced. I took it to a mechanic the next day and was told a transmission is needed ASAP. Leith said the only option is a 3 day exchange. They had NO comparable trucks. I asked if we could cancel the deal or if i could just lose the $2500 credit charge (giving them $2500 for absolutely nothing - that was my offer). THey said they can't do that. The truck the lot with a truck that had 80k more miles and is 9 years older $ $400k lower price!!!! I immediately had to put over $1k into that vehicle (tires, brakes, rotors, piston repair). Stay away from this dealership!!!!

Horrible experience.

Horrible experience. Called to confirm the vehicle i was interested in was still on the lot, and told it was. Arrived 3hrs later and was told it was sold. I believe they just told me it was there to get me on the lot and try to sell me something else.

Purchased a Kia Soul from Leith Kia today and could not

Purchased a Kia Soul from Leith Kia today and could not be happier with the whole process. I spoke with Michael Draper by phone this morning and told him my situation, what I was looking for and where I wanted my payments to be. He did some figuring and called me back and said he could make it happen. I went to the dealership at noon and took a test drive with Nermin Soliman. She could not have been any nicer! She was super friendly and knowledgeable. She was by far the nicest sales person I have ever encountered. Jaray Sampson was my finance manager. He did every single thing that Michael had promised me earlier. At no time did anyone try to upsell or try to change the numbers around. I would recommend all of my family and friends to Leith Auto Park Kia without hesitation. They made the car buying process easy. Thank you, Michael, Nermin and Jaray!

They knowingly sold me a car that less than a week later has left me stranded and is going to cost me a fortune to repair. Definitely not a group I would trust! Take your business elsewhere!!!

Bad salesman

I visited Leith about a used vehicle. I asked if they could replace the tires or drop the price to be more in line with a fair market price. They said we can’t do that. They dropped the price of the vehicle the next day. They could have sold the vehicle to me but they would rather see if I would pay the higher price.

My wife and I went to the dealership around 6:30 on the

My wife and I went to the dealership around 6:30 on the evening of 7/25/2023 to view a 2023 Kia Sorento SX we had seen online. We really had no intention of purchasing a vehicle that day since we had already loaded our 2023 Sportage for a vacation trip to Michigan the following morning. And then, we encountered Jaray (or Ray). Since I worked for Fred Anderson Kia for nearly 3 years (after retiring from a real estate career), I know a little something about what it takes to be successful in auto sales, and Ray exhibited a high degree of professionalism, likeability and easy demeanor. We never felt pressured to buy right then and there. He let us make up our own minds, and for me that is critical because I do not respond well to pressure tactics. Jay is a good salesman, and I felt like he was able to "read" us and responded to our questions and concerns appropriately. Bottom line is that we did buy the car that evening, and our experience with Jay and the rest of the staff (Rogel the sales manager and Jonny the finance manager) was a positive one. The one thing of note with Leith Cars is that they don't pile on a "marketing adjustment" above the MSRP, and that says a lot about the Leigh organization. Also, they were very fair with my trade. All in all, we were very happy with how the transaction turned out. By the way, after the transaction was completed, we took the Sorento home and transferred the vacation stuff from the Sportage to the Sorento. Twenty-five hundred miles later, we are still happy.
