I would strongly advise against bringing your vehicle to the Tobin Dodge Service Department. Over the past year, I have endured repeated attempts to get my brand-new 2024 RAM fixed—a truck that, shockingly, began exhibiting critical malfunctions the day after purchase. Despite being under warranty, the service department has continuously failed to replace the faulty Body Control Module (BCM), which is the root cause of these dangerous issues. Instead, they keep my truck for 5-7 days each time and claim to have "reset the BCM," only for the same life-threatening problems to resurface. The primary issue with my truck involves intermittent electrical malfunctions that cause it to shut down while in motion, locking the steering wheel and removing braking power. This is not only a massive inconvenience but an extreme safety hazard. Most recently, after pulling 33 diagnostic codes during a service visit, the dealership kept my truck for seven days and merely "reset the BCM" yet again, ignoring the fact that these issues have persisted since day one. Diagnostic Codes Reveal the Faulty BCM The diagnostic codes pulled during my most recent service visit highlight numerous errors, many of which directly point to the failing BCM: Battery Voltage and Circuit Issues: Codes like B2199-16, C212A-84, and B21DD-84 indicate "Battery Voltage Below Allowable Range" or "System Voltage Below Threshold." These failures are classic signs of a faulty BCM, which is responsible for managing electrical distribution. Communication Errors: Codes such as U121E-00 ("Lost Communication with Steering Wheel Cruise Control Switch") and U1885-00 ("Battery Energy Control Module Lost Communication") show that the BCM is intermittently failing to relay information between critical vehicle systems. ABS and Safety-Related Issues: Codes like U0415-00 ("Invalid Data Received from Anti-Lock Brake System Control Module") and C006A-49 ("Multi-axis Acceleration Sensor Failure") demonstrate how the failing BCM is directly impacting crucial safety systems like ABS, leading to braking and stability problems. Miscellaneous Voltage and Circuit Failures: Additional errors, such as B210C-16 and B10EB-17, highlight circuit failures in subsystems like the blower power module and steering wheel heater, which also rely on the BCM for proper functionality. Amel Sinanovic the Service Advisor was great to work with, unfortunately my truck required repairs over the Christmas holiday while I was traveling to relatives in Las Vegas. He was very upfront and communicative on the diagnostic and eventual repair process. The truck was delivered the day before Christmas, he expedited the diagnostics to be completed the day after Christmas with the repair and delivery of the truck completed the following day. If I lived in Las Vegas I would not hesitate to take my vehicles to Towbin Dodge Ram, especially with quality people like Amel Sinanovic in the Service Department.
