2021 Blazer

Erick our salesman made the buying process so easy. Out of all the dealerships in our area he was the one to reach out to us first and and answered all questions and any concerns we had. No hassle when signing the contract and were not pushy on us. We would definitely go there when we decide to buy a car again.

Felt like home

Communication is key and Sanborn delivered!

During this pandemic with cars in high demand, I was so excited to finally find the car of my dreams available at Sanborn. I could have ordered it from a local dealership and waited for 9 months or more, but I just kept looking and being patient. When I saw online that they had one arriving, I immediately messaged them (both email and text). I was responded to very promptly in both forms of communication. My salesman Tosh answered all my questions quickly and I was so thankful to be able to put down a deposit over the phone before making the over 2 hour drive to Sanborn. After I made the deposit, another gentleman called about the financing while Tosh looked into current discount offers I asked about. Sanborn really went out of their way to welcome my spouse and I at the dealership. Every single employee offered us a beverage as they walked by. Working with Tosh at Sanborn was effortless. I went for a test drive with him when I got there at my scheduled appointment time and started the paperwork. My only tiny complaint from the whole experience is that I was not offered very much for my trade in by their appraisal team. With car shortages due to the pandemic, I definitely should have been offered more. They were only willing to go up $250.00 when I challenged them on it. Oh well, they did offer me a better APR and that did help me feel a little more settled about it. The paperwork was all signed and I drove off living the dream of owning my very first new car!!! Tosh even texted me on the way home to let me know that myChevrolet app account was officially set up and then called a few days after the purchase to check if everything was still going great. I am so thankful for Sanborn and hope that everyone has a terrific first new car buying process like I did!

Where to start. Earlier this month my wife and I were in...

Where to start. Earlier this month my wife and I were in the market to buy a 2021 Chevy Trail Boss and we had specific features in mind that we wanted. We shopped around and reserved a Trail Boss at Sanborn as well as Steves Chevrolet in Oakdale. Both trucks were almost identical plus or minus a few features. We read reviews about Sanborn Chevrolet and we were eager to go and make a purchase of the truck we wanted. We were prepared, we had over 20% cash down and were pre-approved with our bank. We made an appointment with Terrie Wilson and we arrived shortly prior to our appointment time. She allowed us to test drive it alone and once we arrived back we were able to sit down and "talk numbers." Well maybe our mistake, maybe my wife is too honest but my wife told Terrie that we were "new car buyers." To clarify; it was the first new car we were planning on buying. Shouldn't car buying be an honest experience? Terrie then proceeded to tell us that she didn't think we would be qualified to buy that expensive of a truck. She assumed that based on maybe her training and experience but she was wrong and it was insulting. She told us that that we probably needed to start with a cheaper vehicle and then work our way up to the truck. We should have left then but we stuck around. We talked numbers and she showed us a price sheet with warranties, gap insurance, and some service fee. I don't specifically remember what the service fee was called due to the fact I threw the documents away upon leaving. I did ask Terrie what the service fee was and she told us something similar to, "It is something we do to all of our new vehicle's, my manager and tell you more about it." Turns out after my own research it was for window vin etching. I felt like it was just something she could add on and not explain because we were "new car buyers." That brings me to another point, Terrie never mentioned any discounts or rebates. My wife had to ask about any possible discounts. Do any Google search and you can find discounts for military, public safety, teacher, and Costco and more. Our salesperson, Terrie, did not mention any of those until my wife brought it up and Terrie knew exactly what we were asking about but she wanted us to bring it up first in the hopes we wouldn't bring it up. Possibly to make a larger profit? Terrie went back and forth with her manager and made us wait and wait. We decided to walk away and requested our refund for reserving the truck. The manager then came out and tried offering us trucks that he thought was in our budget from around the region with the features we were not looking for. They went back into the "managers office" and someone else came and finally gave us our refund receipt. I would recommend Steve's Chevrolet in Oakdale. They will treat you right and they will not hide "common" discounts from the consumer. Car buying is an experience (hopefully a good one) and you should treat your customers with out being judgmental. I would not recommend Sanborn Chevrolet and GM should be ashamed.

I WOULD DO IT AGAIN

BOUGHT A 2000 SILVERADO. A 01 SILVERADO, STILL HAVE HER AFTER 300500 MILES AND STILL RUNNING GOOD. A 2019 SILVERADO, AND A NEW 2020 SILVERADO ALL FROM THE SAME DEALER, WOULD DO IT AGAIN

RUDE USED SALES MANAGER!! STAY FAR AWAY!!

My son saw a car he wanted on cars.com. I called to purchase the car. Talked to Jake. He told me he would need to talk to his manager because cars.com had the car for a much lower price. Jake also said he would call me right back. If course he never did. I called the next day and found out Jake was off... well of course he was! So I talked to Linda. I asked to speak to the sales manager. I talked to the used car salesmanager, MIKE. I started to tell him about the price discrepancy, but he interrupted me! MIKE was VERY RUDE! Letting me know he "will cut to the chase." He told me, "I'm sure your son did not lose any sleep over this." He "doesn't have to honor the price." He "won't honor the price" and HUNG UP on me immediately without letting me speak at all. I wanted to talk to a manager about: (1) about the price discrepancy (2) about Jake not calling me back the day before (and yes, MIKE, my son DID lose sleep over this) and (3) I wanted to talk about STILL buying at their price since my son had the money and he really wanted that car! Needless to say, it was a blessing in disguise that MIKE did hang up on me to let me know how SANBORN dealership really thinks of a potential customer! STAY FAR FAR AWAY... THEY ARE THE TYPE OF DEALERSHIP.... ONCE THEY HAVE YOUR MONEY, CUSTOMER SERVICE IS NON-EXISTENT!! MIKE is the stereotypical "used car salesman" that you just can't trust nor want to deal with! Thanks to this experience, we have decided that our son will buy in Texas and with our financial help, he will now buy a brand new Challenger!

Don’t recommend them

Bought a 2019 Chevy Tahoe September 2019. Everything was good in the beginning now the people and the service sucks. My 36,000 warranty is about to expire they don’t want to fix nothing. So I have to take my truck to a different Chevrolet dealers.. just sad that mike says he will call back haven’t heard back from them.. after 3 days nothing.. definitely would not recommend them to nobody and Andrew that works in service has no idea what he is doing. I called and explained to him clearly why my truck needed to go back. He is going to ask me why I’m bringing it back. After just telling him why.. never again when I up grade my Tahoe will be buying from a different Chevy dealer
