If there is a car sales Hall of Fame Bill Should be in it! Got us a great Deal on a new Outback, delivered on time without a hitch in a vehicle scarce market. First service set up and detailed vehicle knowledge passed on to us on driveaway day. I would recomend Bill and the team to anyone!

I recently purchased a Subaru Outback at Sunset Hills

I recently purchased a Subaru Outback at Sunset Hills Subaru. After not having purchased a new vehicle from a dealership in over 15 years I was a bit concerned about how the process would unfold. I can tell you that all the personnel at Sunset Hills Subaru are friendly, polite, and professional. It made the experience enjoyable and rewarding on my part. I wouldn’t hesitate to send my friends there…

Subaru Sunset Hills is a delight to work with.

Subaru Sunset Hills is a delight to work with. The staff is friendly, informed, and consistently available for questions. I leased two cars from them and bought out the second lease recently. It was a great experience, with staff helping me decide what would be best for me. I am delighted to own this car now and will keep going to this dealership for routine maintenance as well. Everything here has been just great for me.

Bill and Sunset Hills (formerly Webster Groves) have sold

Bill and Sunset Hills (formerly Webster Groves) have sold us two of our last three vehicles (the other was a not a Subaru). Bill sold us both and was straight forward and made things easy. Trade in was what we expected and basically on KBB or slightly above. Took care of us while we were there and followed up. We'll be back when it's time for the next vehicle!

They were courteous, professional and helpful in the purchase of our new Outback. There were more perks with Subaru that with any other cars I have bought.

The lease on my current Subaru was ending, and I called

The lease on my current Subaru was ending, and I called the dealership and spoke with Bill. He seemed great, and definitely did some work to find a new car that fit my needs - no easy task when inventory is so limited! I paid a deposit for the new car and we set up an appointment so I could bring in my current Subaru to find out its worth and estimate what my payment would be on the new vehicle. That's when things went seriously wrong. Bill did the whole "What do you want your payment to be?" thing. I told him I wanted to know the cost of the new vehicle, and what my current vehicle is worth. I was more concerned with that than payments. He seemed like he was trying to confuse me and glossed over all the numbers, just saying my payment would be about the same. As I looked at the paperwork, (upside down and across the desk from me,) a number stood out and I asked if it was the trade in amount. Bill said yes and listed all the things wrong with my current car. I told him that number was insulting and his whole demeanor towards me changed. I could not get out of there fast enough - he was completely disrespectful. He wouldn't even let me take the paperwork with me to discuss with my husband, saying it was proprietary. I immediately took the car to another nearby dealership and they offered me $4000+ more than Sunset Hills! I feel like Bill saw a woman alone, with a lease ending soon in a very tight market for new cars, and tried to take advantage of me. I have access to Google like everyone else and already knew a reasonable number. If I hadn't done my research, I would have been taken for $4000! I don't know about the dealership as a whole, but Bill is not trustworthy or respectful. I will 100% take all my business to the Dean Team in Ballwin. I'm driving a beautiful new car from them now, and could not be any happier.

Dealer response

While Sarah was visiting our location to buy her new Subaru things didn't go exactly as she or our management staff planned. Let us begin by saying we do not take her statements lightly when saying she was treated poorly by our employees. Fortunately her opinion of our business does not represent how most guests feel when they come here and purchase vehicles. All of that being said, there were both exterior body damage and interior condition issues with her trade in, (we still have the pictures) which was at the end of a lease. Her base model Ascent had pet damage, and a lot other expensive issues that do not need to be dragged into this forum. We're glad she found someone to pay her as much as she said, we tip our hat to her! There are consumer benefits at times to being in an up ticked used car market. In conclusion, we sincerely apologize Sara was left feeling as she described and wish her well with her new Subaru. Best regards, Sunset Hills Subaru
