I've never witness more unethical and slimy business

I've never witness more unethical and slimy business practices than when I was getting financing at this dealership. When I realized the scam they'd pulled, I quickly called and they kept putting me off. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE OR GET RIPPED OFF!

I've never felt such disrespect and betrayal and dishonesty with this company!!! I purchased a KIA Sportage 2021 from them last year which kind of went sour considering that I had a flat tire the very first day I got the Brand-new vehicle and they could NOT help me at all, so I had to go to PEAK KIA in Littleton, to get that taken care of. I dealt with the situation, I moved on. My new Kia Sportage has been attempted to be stolen 3 times so I DO NOT recommend this car to anyone for the fact it is the highest rated stolen car right now!!! (And I am a Kia baby) I have stood behind Kia for many years I've never had any other vehicle but Kia, because of the recent car theft, I decided to trade this one in and go for a better grade model with KIA, So I had my vehicle towed to the service department at Arapahoe Kia to try them again because I'm loyal. Edward did his best, but he is not completely knowledgeable of what really needs to happen in order to get a sale done (bless his heart) he was so sweet but after that it just went down hill!. I left 4 recorded messages for Kirk Price to call me back, I left another message for Chelsea, to call me back she did not call me back, she sent me a text saying she was too busy and and I needed to deal with someone else. I called and left another message for Kirk Price, again he never returned my calls! I called the office asking many times to speak to different managers and nobody seems to be able to help me because they all want to run from the situation. I Do not recommend this store EVER!!! I will NEVER bring my business back here and I will make sure that everybody knows to not go here, you ruined the chances with a lifetime Kia person and I will make sure that "you're so busy" is not so busy anymore!

Be Careful with this Dealer when Buying a Car!!

Spoke with Arapahoe Kia salesman C. Wilson on 2/10/22 re a 2022 KIA EV6 (Vin 30864), and I put a $500 deposit on the car the same day after he said it would be sold to me at MSRP plus standard dealer fee of $700. The vehicle was set to be delivered to the store on or about 2/24/22. On 2/12/22, I emailed Charlie due to issues I had read about where auto dealers were adding markups to cars after receiving customer deposits and wanted to confirm in writing with him that the car would be sold to me at MSRP plus dealer fee. He wrote back, "Thanks for your email. Yes, this EV Wind is held in your name at MSRP. So, it will be MSRP plus the dealer fee and taxes when it arrives here in about 10-14 days." I was near the store on 2/19/22 and stopped in to talk with Charlie and look at other EV6s that had already arrived at the store. Charlie then told me that his management had informed him that they were going to add $1,000 to the MSRP for my vehicle - regardless of our prior agreement. I then spoke with Sales Mgr. Mike Lubash who said that no matter my prior verbal and emailed agreement and $500 deposit for the vehicle at MSRP, the dealer would require me to pay an additional $1,000 over MSRP if I wanted the vehicle. I explained I had never stepped foot in a Kia dealership before, and this was certainly a horrible way to treat a first time Kia buyer - he did not care and was insistent that I pay the extra $1,000 or not buy the car, and even told me I didn't have a "contract" to purchase the car at MSRP, as if their verbal and emailed agreement was worthless - which ultimately it was (be aware). I told him I would not be buying the car or any other Kia for that matter. He really did not care in the slightest and only wanted the extra $1,000, and said that the Kia Dealership Mgr. C. Goodgain supported his decision to ask for the extra $1,000 regardless of me having a prior verbal and emailed agreement to purchase the car at MSRP. Funny thing is he tried to convince me the extra 1k was to cover an EV charger cord that I did not want, ask for, need, and it was not referenced in anyway in the car's window sticker. (I currently own an EV and don't need their 1k charger cord.) Plus the window stickers on the EV6s in their showroom now show a 1k "Denver Market Adjustment" and do not mention anything about an EV charger cord. I was told that the RWD EV6s were getting a 1k markup while the AWDs were getting a 2k markup - again - clearly not related to a charger cord. Plus you can buy one for $200 if you really wanted/need one. Sounded a lot like adding "undercoating" or "pinstriping" to cars that buyers don't want or ask for. As for EVs – I’ll stick with Tesla and the other more reputable dealers who actually care about their customer’s buying experience and not draining every dollar out of them in a very dishonest way. The new/used car market will go back to the way it was prior to the current environment, and we customers will all remember which dealers took advantage of buyers in dishonest ways and those that remembered how to treat people fairly.

Consumer response

Notice the manager’s specific response WAS he’s “sorry (for) the outcome” that I decided not to continue with the purchase of the EV6 but NOT sorry for the way his Kia dealership falsely promised to sell me the car at the previously agreed upon price. His response tells you everything you need to know about how this dealership is managed and it’s priorities - and it’s not the customer.

Rob Paine in the Service Dept.

Rob Paine in the Service Dept. was able to address my concerns with my Kia Sportage on a potential warranty issue. We had to wait for Kia’s verdict. In the meantime Rob was understanding of my situation with the Sportage in the Service Dept.

Beyond horrible service

Beyond terrible service: In the middle of December, our car wouldn’t start, so we had it towed to the dealership. We called them to let them know it was there. We were told it would be a two week wait, before they could look at it. Given COVID/employee issues, we were willing to wait. We called back after 2.5 weeks because we didn’t hear anything. We were told it would be another 2 weeks before anyone could look at it. We were understanding, and decided to wait. Well, 2.5 weeks later we received a call from the dealership that some cars on the lot were broken into, ours included! They are refusing to claim it on their insurance. They are insisting we use ours, which we have a $1k deductible and of course rates will go up. Their reasoning is that when we dropped it off we signed that they are not reliable. We reminded them, we didn’t sign anything because it was towed. They then claimed it was a verbal agreement, if it’s towed. I’m so disappointed because they will not work with us despite the fact that we were so patient when they had our car for a month without looking at it. Plus, it’s ironic that now that we need our car damaged fixed, they’ll make money off of this (it’s not drivable). BTW-we have two of the same make cars and have used this dealership to service both cars for just about four years.

Excellent buying experience at Arapahoe KIA!

I just got a 2022 Sorento. The entire process was flawless from start to end. Hats off to Ray Lilly, Joel Garbe, and Eddie Garbe. If it were not for their very hard work, I would probably still be in my MB lease.

I won’t write each detail of my only experience with this dealership, but I will say your time and money is better spent at Peak Kia. The parts department here is ridiculous. I just got a new Kia from somewhere else and planned to do all servicing here, but not anymore. Terrible, terrible customer service.
